The Ref Loves Josh Freeman

I forgot to ask this earlier but did anyone who attended the Tampa game, and was sober enough, hear the ref when he left his mic on? He said to Josh Freeman "Josh I love you babe" loud enough for it to blast throughout the entire stadium. Is this a bigger controversy than Favre/Sterger? Was it heard on TV as well?

I was there Exile, didn't hear it (wife says I cant hear anyway). But there was a ton a of terrible calls that went the BUCs way, so it doesn't surprise me. Worst officials I have seen in the Dome all year.

What kind of love will the Shawks get from the stripes? Any sympathy? Any pity?

I heard it, I don't know if it was the ref or one of the players when they were huddling up

I heard it also. Was very strange. I didnt know it was a ref though.

I heard it, it was completely bizarre, but I thought it was somebody else's voice getting picked up by the ref's mic -- possibly in the huddle. It definitely threw me for a loop, that's for sure.

I heard it, lots of people were laughing. I heard the 'I love you' but didn't realize they were talking about Freeman. Didn't realize it was a ref, I was thinking someone grabbed the announcer's mike.

Ref a Tim Donaghy relative perhaps? :-)

I could tell it was the ref because he had just made a penalty call and just left the mic open. "Josh, I luv you babe, you ready?"

Then he turned it off before saying "see you tonight".
