Yes it stings....

But let's look at it this way, we have a championship, that we earned, no matter what these conspiracy theory jackasses come up with. We went back to the playoffs, after our superbowl, which no other team has done in a decade. We have a great foundation, that is going to keep up us in wins, and play offs, for the next ten years.

We need more depth, in our defense. We need a better pass rush, and one more LB to shore it up. Injuries played a role in our fall today, but tackling is something that all players should know how to do. We had a good year, it's over, time to add more pieces, and get back to business in 2011.

jlouhill 01-08-2011 07:19 PM

Couldn't have said it better. Considering the injuries throughout the year and the sluggish play of the offense early on, to finish 11-5 and in the playoffs again isn't nothing to cry about. We will be back next year. It's a good feeling to know that we have a team that will give us a chance to compete year in and year out.

True SaintPaul

The Seahawks have HUMBLED you and ended your season!

You get to watch a REAL football team next week!

Signed the Falcons Nation!

wstcstsaint 01-08-2011 07:52 PM

Falcon Nation can go fly a kite!!! And don't bite our "Who Dat Nation"

We didn't play defense. We play defense like we did in YOUR house and that game is not close. Our defense didn't show up today, plain and simple.

GFY.

If I want to watch a REAL football team, I'll watch Chicago, Philly or New England. Thanks.

This loss stings, and I'm bitter about it.

I'm happy for Seattle, but I won't be rooting for them this year...unless they play Atlanta.

Just gotta love Falcons fans.... They only show up when we lose, or their team is winning. Unless those two things are happening? THEY ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND..... The Falcons are the biggest bandwagon team, in the history of the NFL. Always have been, always will be....

We pulled out some important wins against the Steelers, Falcons, and Vikings and made the playoffs. It was a good season coming off a SB win without question but we really needed that bye week to make a run.

I am almost glad it happened the way it did. It was so freaky, it didn't seem real. It's Saints Football. Remember Halloween against the "unbeatable" steelers? What about MNF in the dome where the falcunts never lose? Everybody knows we can do anything we want. We just did not WANT the seattle win bad enough.

Drew did. Tracy Porter did. Shout out to those who showed up. Including the classiest fans in the nation.

not to worry. Seattle will lose this weekend by at least 20. They dont belong in the playoffs, and apparently, neither did we.

This season sucked balls.

My one bright spot is that I am motivated in my diet. I'll be in Metairie this summer for training camp, because I am sure I can play safety better than what I saw saturday.

I'll bet my truck if you throw a rainbow like that, and I dont give a damn how tall the receiver is--- I played h.s. ball in the 80s, and played just basic f***** technique--- you mix in a little backpedaling. You can march Roddy White out there against ME. If you throw a rainbow, like Hasslebeck did 2wice, That ball is MINE!
Icould intercept that.

I can also make an open field tackle. It wont be Bednarik vs. Gifford, mind you, might be more like chihuahua vs. ankle-- but again they teach you open field desperation tackling in high school.

pathetic.

Also, the special teams coach needs to be fired. now.

fhotard 01-10-2011 02:20 PM

Ok, so the chant for this weekend is "Go Pack Go!!!"
Gotta root for Green Bay to quiet the ATL fans. Rarely have I ever met a group of people with less class.

Some of what you say is true SM... The tackling and coverage was atrocious.... Having said that I have a different perspective on the season..

Every team came at us with a vengence stored for one team per year... The SB champs... and that was us. Did we lay a couple of eggs in Arizona and against Cleveland.... yep we did... But in the end, save for a missed 29 yard field goal (I'm over it... just sayin), we have the home field advantage for the second year in a row (no way we lose to TB with HF on the line)... Don't tell me if we are relatively healthy that there is a better team in the NFC right now.....

So I hurt like others, but with two days of thinking it over, I think this was a very good year... not super... but very good...

So lick your wounds my friend and get ready for another run next year

Go to Quest field and make a comparison. I'm sure the people in that stadium would rival that of the Falcons fans.

SaintPauly 01-10-2011 04:01 PM

I know I might get some flack for this, but oh well, won't be the first time. I can see Seattle beating the Bears at home. They did it earlier in the season, so it is possible. I hate the Bears. Go Seattle!

I'm rooting for every team that beat us and still in it. Atlanta getting the lowest possible draft pick is a big plus for us. As much as I want them to lose the big picture is next season.

SaintPauly 01-10-2011 04:13 PM

I hate Atlanta, with the passion of a million suns... I cannot, and will not, ever root for them to win anything.

I'd give up a draft pick if it would end Atlanta's season this weekend.
