I pretty much agree with this article too. Things could have turned out different with home field advantage, and a first round bye. However, the team does have significant flaws, and would have probably been exposed anyway. At least the flaws that the Saints do have are easily correctable at this point. Has to start with a strong running game, and add a couple more pieces to the defense and the Saints should be able to roll. I mean it's not like they have to rebuild the entire team, just a few things here and there and life should be great again!

I like the "Starting Angry" motto for our 2011 season. Seems appropriate at this point! I did enjoy the article, but I do not look forward to the day when Saints fans are ready for SP and Drew to leave! Not that it should be anytime soon, but I have already seen negative posts on Drew and SP this year. Having the best QB in the league and some folks wanted to sit him down and put in Chase. Bizarre. We have some easy fixes to make and of course, first has to be our running game. Drew would have had a much better season had the game not been on his shoulders each and every time. Time for Loomis and the gang to get to work.

Yep, that does a pretty good job of summing it up.

I agree with the article. Hartley should have made that kick, however, It never should have come down to that, Mike Turner bulldozed our Defense, they dominated time of possession, and we had some critical turnovers. Our front 7 on defense needs some serious upgrades. Besides Vilma, Ellis, and Smith, most of the others would be backups on most teams. Last year we created turnovers that covered up the flaws that we have. The running game has never replaced what Duece was able to do. PT, Ivory, Reggie, can not avoid injuries. The O-Line was less effective protecting Drew because we became 1 dimensional. That led to him throwing more picks and fewer big plays down the field. RB, OLB, DT-DE, additions will keep us in contention unless Drew (God forbid) goes down.

Do you even like the team? Some of you focus on nothing but the negative.

What do YOU run the 40 yard dash? When did YOU play in the NFL?

Try not to bash on your own damn team, people. Jesus Christ.

Whiners. Move to Atlanta if things are so freakin' bad.

They just won your spoiled, whiney arses a Super Bowl. Remember?

Let me guess. You're rabid LSU fans.

Sorry but I don't agree with blaming Hartley. Yes he missed an important field goal but we got into the playoffs and, having the team we have, should have handled ourselves better against the Seahawks. My anger, frustration and extreme disappointment was directed at the Defense in that game. The Hartley kick was done, it was in the past but we just failed miserably on that side of the ball in spite of a great start. I have not watched any show containing that run by Lynch. It was absolutely humiliating and was the play that broke our backs. So lets not put the playoff game we lost on the kick of Hartley against the Falcons. Otherwise, lets blame Drew Brees as well because there were times when he should have just thrown the ball away or taken the sack but he didn't. We do not blame him because he helped us get to the playoffs, and so did Hartley. We should have taken care of business but we didn't because our defense , for some reason, just crumbled. This team will come back to knock the NFL sideways next season, so let's look forward to it. Geaux Saints.

Hartley missing that field goal change the course of our season and gave the Falcons the attitude they needed to win 8 or 9 in a row.

If we hope to be elite, and we all do, we cannot hang our hopes on ONE field goal relatively early in the season. Blaming Hartley is forgiving everyone else for every mistake from the first snap of the season to the last.
