Brees ... had torn ACL???

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; My buddy at work (a Cowboys fan but a trustworthy one) said he heard Saints tight end Jimmy Graham being interviewed on ESPN radio today. He said Graham sounded like a respectable talker during the interview, not a dumb jock. ...

Brees ... had torn ACL???

My buddy at work (a Cowboys fan but a trustworthy one) said he heard Saints tight end Jimmy Graham being interviewed on ESPN radio today. He said Graham sounded like a respectable talker during the interview, not a dumb jock.

Anyway, they got into the the subject of Cutler's knee injury yesterday, which led to comparisons to Brees' injury. Graham then went on to compliment Brees for his toughness, playing through this season with a torn ACL.

Did anyone else hear this? Perhaps Graham overstated this and was just a small strain or minor tear - or perhaps Brees is tougher than we all think?

I also heard this story, roughly a week after the seattle game. I Heard Brees played through the Cleveland and Arizona games with a torn ACL.
An Injury that would keep many other QB's out did not stop Brees, granted he didn't play his best during those weeks but theres no way anyone can question the guys heart and toughness.

Brees himself, also denied this rumor, saying that's all it was. A rumor. A bunch of us here were thinking this during the first half of the season. If it is true, then some people owe some apologies...

I don't know how serious Cutler's injury is/was, but considering that the winner of this game goes to the Super Bowl, He should have made every effort to play.

I wonder what Matt Stafford thinks of all this.

Considering he came BACK with

The doctors and trainers would not let him.

It was Heath Evans as he spent the day at ESPN studios. And it confirmed what many of us suspected: Drew played through a knee injury for most of the season. Drew's a stud. He's become my favorite Saints player ever, barely beating out Hoby Brenner.
