My most vivid memory actually happened BEFORE the game even started. And it's the story behind my Avatar. I had bought a ticket on site for face value, so i was just glad to get in, and my seat was in the last row of the endzone. I was surrounded by colts fans, and they all looked like a bunch of nerds. They all had their jerseys tucked in, wearing belts, all nice and neat - typical midwestern. I had my jersey tucked out (just like all the other Saints fans) so I stood out, especially since I was by myself. My buddies had seats down at the lower end of the opposite endzone, and I was able to join them right before halftime.

Anyway, Carrie Underwood sang the National Anthem, and right afterwards, I remember the fighter jets all of a sudden appearing from the other end of the stadium and then flying right over my head - it sent chills up my spine. At that moment it HIT me to think how lucky i was to be a saints fan and an american, and I let out a huge "Who Dat!" The Colts fans looked at me like I was crazy but I didn't care. It was an awesome feeling.

Naked co-ed's running down St. Charles Ave. after the victory...

People driving around randomly honking their horns in a Who Dat frenzy at stop lights anywhere in the city or surrounding area. That went on like that for 2 weeks.

Going to restaurants for days after the SB win and people breaking out in "Who Dat" just about anywhere, anytime- like the entire restaurant and staff too.

Gotta be the pick. Such a feeling of euphoria just rushed over my friends and I. We were all hugging, jumping and running around like crazy. It's probably the most excited I've ever been.

Porter's Pick!!
We watched it at a little bar here in Pcola. As soon as it was obvious that the game was sealed, the bartender (who was all dolled up in Colts gear) put a FULL glass in front of me.
"What's that?"
"Patron, your Viking's fan buddy over there bought it for ya."
"Thanks!!" (gulp, gulp, gulp, gone!)

Might have been Patron, might have been lighter fluid. Don't know, don't care. It was a wonderful moment!

Me an my roomate woke up at 2AM to watch the game in Iraq. I remember the commentators talking about who would be the "game changers". Drew, Manning, Addai, Bush and a few other names were mentioned. I looked at my buddy and said (Hand to God), Tracy Porter will be the one.

After the second quarter ended, I had the same ole Saint fan feeling.... Damn, this can't happen. When our boys took the field for the start of the third and the camera man followed what should have been the starting kickoff; my heart exploded. I knew it was an onsides kick and we got it back.

In the forth when Payton was driving the Colts down the field, that same ole feeling came back. "NO! Please don't let it end like this, Lord!" Then as Manning steps back in the pocket to deliver another first down pass....Tracy steps in and brings the game and trophey home for us. I couldn't yell, I couldn't cry, I couldn't breathe. All I could do was raise my arms in victory feeling the sensation as if I was on the field with the team.

I looked at my buddy and said..."I told ya, Tracy Porter."

My friend would describe my expression as looking like the Coach Farmer Fran when Bobby Boucher caught the winning touchdown in "The Waterboy".

That win, that moment, when Tracy intercepted and ran for the pick six; brought me back home. A feeling so sureal, that I looked around for my wife and kids. A feeling I will never forget.

Thank you Saints, thank you Chris Reis for getting the onsides and thank you Tracy Porter.
