Saints: Payton NOT LEAVING

The New Orleans Saints are flatly denying blog reports that coach Sean Payton may be leaving New Orleans to take a position with the Dallas Cowboys.

WWL’s Kristian Garic reports that Saints officials say the reports are completely false.

"It’s inaccurate. Sources confirm that Payton will be in New Orleans next season,” says Garic.

Saints spokesman Greg Bensel later told WWL First News, "Coach Payton is the Saints head coach. He is not going to the Dallas Cowboys in any capacity."

Payton has spent the week in Dallas working for ESPN as on an set analyst. He did coach as an assistant in Dallas earlier in his career

Sounds like someone got really bored and tried to drum up some b.s. I hope that is all it was because I would hate for the Saints to lose this guy.

why would any nutcase want to post crap like this without getting some facts is behond me. i did call this when wade phillips was fired, that jerry would try and lure payton to dallas, but thats me and i'm not payed to report.
