Does anyone notice all these vets getting cut and no one getting signed ... Shockey, Portis, Tommie Harris, etc.

The visits really don't matter. They are just a time-saver so they don't have to occur later. No one is getting signed until the new CBA gets fleshed out and GM's know what they are dealing with.

Well, he signed with them, so I guess the CBA has nothing to do with it. Shockey has been my favorite player for many years, and I am really sad to see him playing for the freaking Panthers.... SUCKS!!!
