SR: “Actually, I am not too familiar with the guys that are currently on the team but I played with Scott Fujita last season and he spoke very highly of the organization. Everyone I spoke to who has played there has just had good things to say. I am looking forward to being part of the solution to getting the team back to the Super Bowl.”
I'm sure most of us can remember when Kyle Turley called us a "Mickey Mouse Organization". The worm has definitely turned y'all.

Sorry I haven't been here in a while but this site stresses me a bit when trying to find my way around.

I have to say that at first I wasn't too keen on signing Shaun Rogers, what with all his baggage and bad attitude and laziness issues, but the fact that he hasn't been on a good team since coming into the league just might very well have been the cause of that.

For the first time in his career, Rogers is finally on a team with comprable talent to his own. A team with probably the best locker room and comaradarie in the league. He signed on to a team with an offense, not to mention the top 5 offense in the league the last 5 years, which means that he won't be on the field for the majority of a game, and that when he makes a play, ie turnover tipped pass etc. he's got an offense that can take it to the house.

He's finally playing for a DC in Gregg Williams who has the skins on the wall and is known throughout the league for great defenses and as a coach that players WANT TO PLAY FOR.

All in all, this is the best case scenario for Rogers as he enters the final years of his career. I know he's longed to play for a winner with a chance to win a ring and finally he's got that chance. I'm thinking we're going to see a revitalized Shaun Rogers who's going to come out and show the entire league the kind of talent he has and what can come of it with a great team and a great coaching staff.

Now, all that being said, Rogers is still 32 and I don't think he's got more than 3 yrs. left max of high level play left in him, and with this draft class being so deep in talent at the DE and DT positions, we MUST back this play for Rogers with a talent at the position in the draft to groom under Rogers for a few years. Still, I like what the organization is doing by going out and addressing serious needs with talent that can make a difference right now, I just hope they do something for the future in the draft as well.
