FanFrenzy, it is that kind of reply that gets us into trouble. Poser? Please.

As for AB, I think we all agree that he was a leading cause in the loss today, but, sadly, he is a pro QB. You will note that he does play for a pro team, our team no less. I\'m sure you meant that he doesn\'t seem to be playing like a pro QB, but if you check the game stats for some of the other games today, you will find many other pro QB\'s not playing at the level they should.

Certainly, today\'s performance has put a hole in my Run-D is the biggest problem theory. Today, it was largely the passing game, and Brooks vaseline hands... When we all regroup tomorrow (or soon anyway), perhaps we can have an analysis of what we might need to do next season. And those of you who want to put \"replace Brooks\" at the top of the list, we heard you, so think of step two then.

\"The December swoon\" started about 28 minutes late, but it is in full season now.

I\'d like to see Bouman the final three games. Maybe he can show some consistency that Aaron cannot. I don\'t place this loss only on Aaron, but his first job should be protecting the ball and he has been horrible at that.

The defense had almost NOTHING to do with today\'s loss. The long drives we had only to be TERMINATED by our QB\'s lack of PROFESSIONAL play lost this game. We gave up seven points on special teams. We lost 6 guaranteed (possible 14) points because of Brooks\' fumbles. One of those fumbles lead to the Bucs\' other score. The most glaring is when loser-boy fumbles when we have first and goal.

Even with this, you are right. We ALL know that Brooks must go next year and there is little point in saying it again. I agree that we need to focus on what else needs to be done.

I\'ll propose that Haslett must also go. If he cannot honestly evaluate AB and see when he is self-destructing (and thus costing us games), and them make the necessary changes to give us a chance, then he is not qualified to be a coach at this level. That\'s step B.

Two things were made really clear to me today.

1. This team cannot win when it matters, especially in December. 7 points against a Buc D that has been getting reamed recently. They\'ve lost 4 of 5 and we beat ourselves and let them leave with a win. Goodbye Haslett and Company. Even one more loss in December and it should be enough to get rid of him. The fan fallout in NO is going to be unreal.

2. Aaron Brooks has proven to me that he is not a big time QB. He\'s done it week in and week out. He\'s got 8 fumbles in the last 4 games. Yes, drops hurt. Penalties hurt. Missed blocks hurt. I cannot argue that. But Brooks hurts more. Please Saints. Be smart. Get rid of him or get someone in there who can teach him how to not be a total idiot. Or give him a brain transplant. Whatever, just do something.

Well, no chance at the playoffs now. Anyone care to start placing bets as to what Haslett and Co. will do this offseason?

I know Aaron Brooks is going to be the topic of disscusion for some time. I still believe that Brooks should be the QB. Brooks definately cost us the game today and I understand that fans are going to be bashing this guy to no end, like they have been doing for some time.

Brooks hasn\'t had a bad year. He has had a bad year as far as fumbles have gone. Brooks will be the QB next year, no matter who the coach is. Write it down. Maybe that will go on the greatest hit. But, I don\'t think so.

Ah ha! Good post, FanFrenzy.

I\'m not sure what you mean by guaranteed points. Brooks did not fumble inches from a cake walk to the endzone. However, I\'m sympathetic to the idea you have in mind.

I\'ll have to think about the Has idea. I think we wait a few more games to decide that one. He may bench Brooks... who knows. After today\'s game... and this might be largely reactionary... I\'m in favor of letting Bouman have a start. This would cause me to put some faith in Has, and, who knows, it may get AB to reevaluate what he is doing on the field.
