Draft shake up predictions

We all know too well crazy things can go down early so I wanted to brainstorm on some far fetched but possible scenarios.

Mine is Panthers and Cardinals pass on QB's. A QB will not help the Panthers unless he is a real balls to the wall leader and neither QB fits that role. They have too many other concerns, mainly DT and WR. Arizona knows the value of a solid veteran and a couple of good ones are available. The stat on getting a solid QB in round 1 is 50% since 1992.

I think both are very possible. They could pass on Newton/Gabbert and "settle" for a Mallet, Dalton, Ponder, Locker, or Kaepernick at the top of the second round. It looks like a deep class of quality quarterback prospects so waiting could definitely work out better for them.

I dont think Arizona goes QB at all. Carolina has a better QB situation with Jimmy Clausen as a young guy who could develop into a good starter. Ron Rivera is a defense minded coach who may try to convince the front office to shore up the defense first to make the team competitive while the offense develops. Outside of an aging Steve Smith, a new QB would not have any weapons to work with. The defensive line in Carolina is in definite need up an upgrade and Carolina could opt for Marcell Dareus.
