Saints Take Mark Ingram with Help at 28th pick

traded with the New England Patriots and selected Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram with the 28th pick.
Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram works out with trainer Wyatt Harris in Jefferson at the Sonic Boom Speed Conditioning and Strength Center. He was picked by the New Orleans Saints in the NFL draft.

I knew NE would trade that pick. They have a history of it and stockpile picks next year. It was a matter of who with.

I have NO idea it was going to be us... I wiped my eyes when I saw the Le Fleur on the screen at 28. WTF.

Great move... they had to sense Pats were prime to trade and lets be the team if they want to...

Still dazed and amazed.

I hate grade and judging drafts... 4 years it takes to see how it turns out at least but this has to figure as one of the best drafts for the Saints... which isn't saying much LMAO.

Barring some sort of Ki-Jana Carteresque career ending injury, I just can't see how this kid busts at all.

He's got all the measurables, obviously has the production, is an extremely hard worker, and a high character team leader.

I think best case he's Edgerrin James/Marshal Faulk/Priest Homes type

I think worst case he's gonna be Dalton Hilliard/Dorsey Levens type.

Wow! This is pretty exciting! I turned off the computer after the Saints made their #24 pick. I had no idea about the trade and the Ingram pick until my brother called me this morning.
I was happy with the pick at #24, though a little surprised because I just didn't think they'd go D with the first pick, even though it was probably the right thing to do.
Then this trade/pick makes two really good 1st-round pickups... can't help but feel good about the (possible, maybe, will we have a season?) season.

I knew Ingarm was going to be a Saint.....KNEW IT!

Some of y'all are gonna have to start listening to "The Sapper". ;-)

I didn't expect us to take Ingram and was a little surprised by the decision to trade up for him. The more I think about it, it seems like a steal with what we gave up. I'm really hyped about this year!
