I saw a side-by-side video of both of them over at SR. It was amazing how similar their talents and running style are.

Which shows you misinterpreted my intentions and post.

Emmitt admits he couldn't have done what he did without the Moose. Maybe he didn't assist Smith his entire career but he opened up a lot of holes. Moose was also the first FB ever selected to a Pro Bowl. Ingram won't have that luxury for the Saints, he'll get some help but not on that level.

Forget naming anyone anything. If he can stay healthy, average 17+ carries a game with a 4+ YPC while being an effective receiver out of the backfield for the next 5+ seasons, then it was a hell of a move to trade up to get him IMO.

Yea, i remember people comparing Reggie to Gale Sayers too.

Beastmode 04-30-2011 05:21 PM

I just want to see him get the 2-3 yards up the middle that Bush couldn't deliver and open up play action again. If he can do that in his first season it's going to take a lot of pressure off Brees.

Maybe maybe not. I'm just throwing it out there.

Yeah, I never really agreed with that comparison.

He was more like an Eric Metcalf (which I was ridiculed for saying at the time).

Turns out he isn't even as good as Metcalf was.

No, but he made pro-bowls..

There have been thousands of mediocre players that got a superbowl ring.

Danno is usually on target. Hopefully you're dead on with the Ingram pick.
I was totally for Ingram based on our RB situation. Great pickup.
When does FA signing begin again?

I so badly want to draft Ingram for my fantasy football team this year. Hmmmmmm.......

Cory9289 04-30-2011 11:49 PM

I definitely will. He'll get A LOT of goal line TD's. That was imo a problem last year. Getting all the way down the field and missing FG's (hehe). Now Ingram baby :P
