Take a look at Reggie's last few tweets

Everybody complaining about the lockout! Shoot I'm making the most of it! Vacation, rest, relaxing, appearances here and there! I'm good! 

Right about now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat, practicing twice a day, while putting our bodies at risk for nothing.

FYI last tweet was a joke! Relax people damn it's called sense of humor! Cry me a river why don't you...

Twitter

I don't know about you guys, but he is really starting to tick me off.

Sounds like a good strategy to me.

Halo 05-09-2011 09:12 PM

NOTE to all pro, major and minor league, and college athletes: GET OFF TWITTER AND QUIT FACEBOOK!

exile 05-09-2011 09:20 PM

Amen to that Halo. Besides that, I'm a joker, I'm a smoker and I'm a midnight toker. So his tweets reek of humor to me. FUNNY STUFF REGGIE!!!

:D:D:D

Ugh....

Beastmode 05-09-2011 09:35 PM

Financially it would be a wise choice to stay with the Saints. Maybe not short term but big picture it could restore his Heisman fall from grace and show he has heart. That's what sells products. His endorsements would increase and he could concentrate on what he does best hopefully with Ingram doing the grinding.

We Love You Reggie. Please Don't go Babe please don't down to New Orl..... hey wait a minute.

I'm really sick of twitter period. I really don't think it's possible to sustain a twitter account without eventually pissing off the entire country. It's like people are unwilling to accept that people have mood swings, that everyone that plays sports should be this perfect symbol of a human being and that we as a society are all are unable to have different opinions and beliefs. Really all twitter is doing is showing how wound up our entire society has become.

Here are some things you need to do Reggie...

1. Quit Twiter and the whole social network thingy

2. Start up a "Unorganized Team Activity" for guys who live on the west coast. (You foot the bill)

3. Learn and live by the qoute..... "Team First, Me second".

4. Find a nice Southern girl to get in a relationship with. Trust me, they will bring you down to earth.

5. Join BlackandGold.com and give us shout-out's when you get interviewed. Halo needs to pay the bills!

:bng:

Maybe Reggie should get off twitter and Facebook and put more of his efforts to injury rehabilitation and actually being able to stay injury free for more than 2 games in a row.

Ya know reggie, a move like this would make most NFL players say....hey i'll show you, ill work my butt off.
  • A perfect example of this was when the Chargers drafted Rivers, Brees worked his butt off and had an amazing season.
The move seems to make reggie say more of - ooo my s**t life and all this over crap that he's saying.
I love you reggie, but man up, grow a pair, work your butt off and live up to your #2 overall pick expectations.

breesfan27 05-10-2011 11:40 AM

It's not Twitter/Facebook's fault Reggie is acting like this. Everyone blames social network, when it's the person BEHIND the screen name that's saying this stuff. I'm on Twitter AND Facebook, and I don't have any problems. He needs to stop acting like no one wants him and get his butt to workouts. I love Reggie and I want him to stay, but his behavior over the past few weeks is really starting to piss me off. If you want to stay, prove it. If not, there's the door, don't let it hit you in the behind on your way out.

The issue of professional athletes and twitter media was just debated on sports television not two (2) days ago...

If he's got time to tweet and no time to practice with his bros at Tulane, then he will lose his fan base and support really quickly; especially if pride starts messing with him and he geauxs to a team that overpays...

darstep 05-10-2011 02:01 PM

Not every thought that comes to mind is worthy of a tweet. I think the world is quickly finding that out. A fool is at least assumed wise, until he opens his big tweeter. It really gets to be irritating at some point; not to mention quite revealing in a negative kind of way. Does he have a media/marketing rep? Somebody within his camp "ought" to advise him to set aside the soc-med stuff until his NFL business has been solidified. Do some side-straddle-hops, some wind sprints, and some push ups. Tell his fan base he's preparing to play some football and will be at 100% whenever the CBA details are resolved. Tweet something positive with great expectations...that's how you get paid.

nicebush25 05-10-2011 06:33 PM

Wonder what the players slaving in 100 degree putting their bodies at risk down at Brees camp think of his tweets?

Crusader 05-11-2011 11:22 AM

I think its good that he gives us something to talk about.

I'm old school. To me someone who twitters is a twit.
