"Take it to the House" Henderson

Saints fans favorite wipping post, but before you guys start saying that all he does is drop passes, consider Coltson has way more drop passes.

Henderson is used as a decoy on most plays.
His blocking is above average for a WR.
His speed is world class and he catched the deep ball best.
2010 was an off year for Devery. Usually one in every 7 passes results in a TD.
With the addition of Ingram, Devey's roll will be more inportant than ever.

With Meachem, Coltson, Henderson & Graham, we once again dare you to put 8 in the box.

We'd miss him more that you might think.

I think he gets an unfair shake when it comes to our fanbase. I just wanted to point out that on numerous occasions this season, Drew completely missed Devery either underthrowing or going to the wrong receiver. Those 464 yards could have easily been 764 yards imo. Regardless... whether he's being thrown to or catches the ball or not, he plays a key part in our offense stretching the field. In my opinion, he's a bigger "decoy" than Bush is.

I also wanted to say in defense of Colston, some of the adjustments he has to make on Drew's ball are ridiculous... not to mention as soon as he catches balls over the middle, he's clobbered by two guys. Drew has a tendancy to lead him into some dangerous situations... which contribute to his dropped balls.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

Track periods when Colston dropped passes and the majority have been when he had the hand injury.

Exactly... As awesome as Brees is, he frequently underthrows/overthrows a wide open Devery, and Meachem as well.

Devery gets a lot of heat, but anybody who watched the 2009 season knows that he was a major part of why we won the Super Bowl. He had some huge catches that year.

Devery is a real threat, and would be #1 on a lot of teams. People get things stuck in their heads, without knowing the actual stats.

The main thing about Devery, is that you shouldnt throw directly to him sometimes. If you want 100% insurance he will catch the ball, throw it behind him between 2 defenders, as he is falling backwards upside down in a twisted pile being hit. He's made some krrazy catches he shouldnt have.
