Similarites to the capture of Saddam

Hmmm, I haven't talked much since the beginning of the season but have always checked in and read peoples comments. I have to admit that I WAS a Brooks basher the last month or so, heck his fumbles cost us a few games. But I digress.

We captured Saddam Hussein today after months of negative opinions and backlash against Bush.

How does this have any similarities with the Saints you ask? Well, after a brief period of bashing Brooks (as I also did the war in Iraq) on the same day I have thought deepy about the error of my ways.

It is clear Brooks is our guy. We have to be patient...hell we've already waited 35 years and Brooks did bring us our first playoff win. I think we should stick with Haslett and Brooks (although ask me this a few weeks ago and I would have asked for their heads). And no, I am not riding the bandwagon of raping the Giants.

There are just too many positives with Brooks. Barring his fumbles and our sluggish start this year we would be up there with New England and Kansas City. We still can make the playoffs although the chances are slim. However if we don't I think in all actuality, our team is in good hands. What we need is stability (no more getting rid of all our players every year). In time and with perseverance, us Saints fans will one day soon be able to enjoy a championship, just as with time and perseverance we have captured hairy ass Saddam Hussein. With great patience comes great victory. Think about it.

Negative Ghostrider.

This week Mr Hot is replacing Mr Cold.

Mr. Hot and Mr. Cold are the same guy. He used to be Jim Everett, now he\'s Aaron Brooks.

Hey maybe they should threaten Brooks job every week ....

Interesting thought that that is what it takes .

Of course a really bad Giants team and a horid secondary might have helped .

I guess by extension that if Brooks had the game he will potentially have all next season, then maybe Haz, Venturi and McCarthy all had brilliant games too.

Loomis had a great game too, let\'s keep everyone, no need to draft, no need for free agency. The status quo is working out fine. :casstet:

All I can tell ya is that it really don\'t matter who was on the field. Just like when the great Peyton did it against our depleted secondary. Brooks made a victom of whomever was playing on the Giants defense. Of course, I know you never will give the man credit. It\'s just a shame saintfan isn\'t here to enjoy -- :D

At 7-7 .

Brooks has not had too much of it , especially with a 1500 yard back behind him .

Beating weak demoralized teams should be easy for Brooks , I find it rather amusing it is a rarity .

Dallas will be another story , Dallas is above .500 and we know Brooks cannot compete at that level this year .
