Eagles interested in Reggie Bush

Report: Eagles to be aggressive in free agency - Yardbarker

Reggie with Vick? Interesting. Is it worth a few extra million to see that it doesn't happen?

SmashMouth 06-15-2011 11:41 PM

I dont even think he is worth a few million. This guy cant stay healthy. Let the Eagles doctors have him.

saintsfan1976 06-16-2011 06:42 AM

Let's talk trade.

spkb25 06-16-2011 07:04 AM

The Eagles are a fairly cheap organization, and they usually do offer much in the way of trade. So, we'll see, but if we can get something worthwhile, why not?

Danno 06-16-2011 07:07 AM

OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

Of course, he'd have to renegotiate a sign/trade deal first.

I doubt there's anything substantial to this lil rumor.

Ashley 06-16-2011 10:14 AM

I don't know how I feel about a trade. I still want him here. But my gut says he will go somewhere else.

jnormand 06-16-2011 11:37 AM

I'm with Ash in this one. I'd rather keep Reggie than see him play somewhere else. But I have a feeling he may leave.

Speedy Ron 06-16-2011 02:21 PM

im sure a lot of people are interested in him. in the right situation and the right play he is a good player. we can get the most out of him i think

Rugby Saint II 06-16-2011 02:56 PM

To me the real question is if several teams offer him more money is he smart enough to not take the biggest payday, but go with a team that fits his skills? If he's really smart he'll stay here where Payton can coddle him and extend his career. As a work horse back he won't make it through the first half of the season.

st thomas 06-16-2011 03:03 PM

let the rumors begin. the eagles won't offer more than new orleans. its a lets say we miss westbrook screens and dump passes to get pressure off m. vick rumor that back they have now is getting it done seems to me. its a bad fit to me if reggie wants more touches.

Speedy Ron 06-16-2011 03:24 PM

he wouldnt be the work horse with mccoy there

jcp026 06-16-2011 05:20 PM

He'd be great in Philly. I'd rather cut his pay and keep him, but he might be a much better player with the Eagles.

papz 06-16-2011 06:29 PM

I'd take a 4th round pick and bumped up to a 3rd based on performances.

saintsfan1976 06-16-2011 08:47 PM

2nd and 4th that could be a 3rd.

Trade him now because his knees won't last him beyond age 28.

QBREES9 06-16-2011 11:28 PM

Sez who, where does this come from ???

This. Why would they have two of the same exact players? McCoy and Bush are identical, and neither can stand the beating in the NFL. Reggie needs a place where they have a primary back, and he can be a special option.

papz 06-17-2011 10:05 AM

That's an insult to McCoy. He's a pretty good player. Even with nagging injuries, he played in 15 games last season.

st thomas 06-17-2011 10:34 AM

your right papz what did mccoy do to deserve this kind of rumor, 2 peas in a pod

Three league sources tell Yahoo Sports that the Saints gave Reggie Bush permission to speak to other NFL clubs in February.

The Saints and Bush were working on a restructured deal, but at the same time the club was permitting Bush to gauge the interest he might receive on the open market. All three sources tell Yahoo that Bush "expects that he will be playing for another team next season." One source named four teams as possible suitors for Bush: the Giants, Dolphins, Steelers, and Seahawks. The Eagles have also "expressed strong interest" in Bush.

The Seahawks??!!! We might lose Bush to the Seahawks? Are you kidding me?

Speedy Ron 06-17-2011 01:27 PM

Reggie aint going no where if he has any sense. Brees will get the most out of any receiver or any other offensive weapon. if he doesnt know that and wants another team he is just plain greedy because it would have to be for a money thing. If he stays here, with PT and Ingram and Ivory he will add a couple years to his career and he will be a td machine. no one is as good as bush from the 10 yd line when he has fresh legs. that is just what he will have if he stays here in that stable of a backfield we have now. stay here, be a td machine and punt returner. he goes somewhere else he will be forced to run between the tackles and do things he isnt great at until the team learns how to use him like payton has done over the years.

Whats wrong with the Seahawks? Pete Carrol's there, he knows how limited Bush is, so he's well aware of what Reggie's worth. He could simply outbid us by a 1/2 mill or so.

I don't think its that big of a loss.

Luda34 06-17-2011 02:13 PM

If he wants the money and not another Super bowl then let him go.

Well they did advance farther into the playoffs than we did...

Just sayin...

Reggie Bush disputes a Yahoo Sports report that the Saints gave him permission to speak with other NFL teams prior to the lockout.

"LOL! Absolutely not," Bush replied when asked about the report's validity. "For the second time, no," Bush responded when asked again. Yahoo Sports reporter Jason Cole is standing behind his story, which cited three league sources. "That's fine, (Bush) can say whatever he wants to say," Cole retorted. Cole will be on WWL Radio in New Orleans Friday to discuss the story.

Your right, Strat.... just like the typical biased liberal media ... always gotta manufacture the news, not report it. I always thought he had little beady eyes, too! lol!:bng:

That said ... did Cole not report a long time ago Bush's trouble at USC which eventually led to his Heisman return and USC vacated crystal trophy .... ooops, I guess!

Bush isn't going anywhere. Period

papz 06-17-2011 11:01 PM

I'm just curious if he really said "LOL!" when answering their question.

jeanpierre 06-18-2011 12:11 AM

How did this thread get to Forever Fan posting a picture of one of the four horses of the Democratic Apocalypse?

Reggie will go with the money me thinks. Saints have a number...Reggie has to find out what his is...and I don't think he's been allowed to do that yet.

Probably ... probably not ... this is not the most nonsensical argument. It rings a lot of truth.
