Reggie Bush's value to New Orleans Saints less than many of team's free agents

NEW ORLEANS – In an effort to gauge the interest level in keeping running back Reggie Bush in New Orleans, please answer the following questions:
Which player is more critical to the future success of the New Orleans Saints? In other words, pick one.

(a) Bush or WR Lance Moore?
(b) Bush or SS Roman Harper?
(c) Bush or LT Jermon Bushrod?
(d) Bush or TE David Thomas?
(e) Bush or LB Scott Shanle?
(f) Bush or FS Darren Sharper?
(g) Bush or C Jonathan Goodwin?
(h) Bush or DT Remi Ayodele?
(i) Bush or DT Anthony Hargrove?
(j) Bush or FB Heath Evans?
(k) Bush or DE Jeff Charleston?
(l) Bush or OL Zach Strief?
(m) Bush or S Usama Young?

Besides Bush, all of the 13 aforementioned players already are or might become unrestricted free agents under a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. As all of the Free World probably knows by now, Bush is under contract to make $11.8 million in base salary this coming season and will count $16 million against the salary cap.

Moore, Harper, Goodwin, then Bush.

Players I prefer over Bush in red.

I'd prefer to resign Bush at a reasonable contract over everyone else tho.

You know you might have caused a riot if you didn't put that last bit in there. ;)

I'm glad you highlighted Remi Ayodele. I think he's underappreciated as far as respect given from our fans. I find him to be a quality hard working plugger that works well in our DT rotation.

Agreed. He's a very reliable 3rd DT in our rotation, and rarely runs OB before contact, knows how to run forward, doesn't fall down on 1st contact and seldom fumbles. :p

I rather let Moore go than Bush. Moore is a decent no 3 reciever but not a whole lot more than that. I believe its more a case of Brees making him good than the other way around.

Okay, let me see if this is the correct answer.........E G H K L M. Heck, I want him to stay but we may have more pressing needs for the salary cap. I just hope he sees how much Payton coddles him and remembers that he is a little fragile and is used very well in this organization.

I disagree. I'd much rather have Moore over Bush. He filled in when Colston was out 3 years ago and had 10 TD's. He also took Reggies place when Reg was injured and was great.

Not only is he a player that can move around the field and be successful, his hands are arguably the best on the team.

That said, you must be right. The Saints pay Bush way more than Moore.

Plus Lance is Brees favorite target

I think Bush is a good player and there's alot of player on the Saints roster that is more valueable than Bush, but Bushrod, Ayodele, Strief and Young are not one of them.
