Nice. Only thing that video is missing is are those runs where he dissapears into a mountain of defenders and moves it 10 yards John Henry style. I remember when we got him I knew he was going to be a good RB. I just wish he would have saw the ball more his first year. Having him return kicks was downright demeaning but the man never said a word.

Yep, I was one of those who said "WTF??"
My younger brother and I argued about it repeatedly. I'm very glad to have been proven wrong.

Then when they drafted Bush, I said the same thing. And the same arguments ensued. Neither of us has seemingly been proven wrong yet, but it's looking like, ultimately, I'll be the winner of those arguments this time.

I loved that video I named my son after Deuce. My wife at the time wanted to use my intials from my name which is CML and she wanted to name him Corey Micheal Luter and was like hell no so I came up with Cameron McAllister

I represented at the first Deuce game:
Boxscore - New Orleans Saints vs. Buffalo Bills, September 9, 2001 - The Football Database

IIRC AB got sacked on the first Saints play and I was like, thank God we have Ricky and this other 1st round RB.

I wish I would have savored the moment a little more. It was the first time I felt like my fav team was becomming a really great team. But that was the last weekend for a lot of things and a lot of people.

Most teams DB's wanted nothing to do with Duece 3rd and 4th quarter. They would find a reason to hit the deck or get blocked down rather than take on Duece and end up on ESPN. They would do a "Dionne" and chase him down from the side or from behind. Look how the ball stays tucked...take a good look Ivory, (and Reggie) look and learn. Duece was the man! Rickey who? I hope Ingram is just as tough.

Thx 44Champs, that video brought back a lot of memories for me. I'm an Ole Miss fan so I was thrilled when the Saints drafted Deuce. We knew he was something special and as it turned out we were proven right. I still remember being at the Independence Bowl in '99 against OU and his 80 TD run from scrimmage. Wow, that was something.

Ingram has almost identical college stats. There's no replacing Deuce but Ingram should be the answer to bring back nice runs b/t the tackes that the Saints sorely missed last season.
