Let the "I's" have it to carry most of the power work. Use Thomas on 3rd downs and screens. Mix in Bush motioning out of the backfield against LBs. Sounds wicked.

While he does look like an Emmit Smith COLLEGE clone, the NFL is a different story. Also, if Emmit didn't run behind one of the best offensive line to ever step foot on a field, he'd just be another very good RB. Emmit also benefitted greatly from staying injury free for so long. That is impossible to project at the NFL level.

Personally I think Ingram will be more of a Marshall Faulk type RB in this offense. Thats good enough for me.

You're showing a lot of respect towards Emmitt which is a given... one of the best of all time. At the same time, in my opinion, Marshall is one of the top RB's of all time.

Anyhow, back to the main point, of course he's willing to restructure. No one in their right mind would be willing to pay Reggie what he's due this year. Someone will overpay and I do not believe he'll be back.

Now back to Ingram... if he can be 3/4 of the player... hell even a little less, he'll help in a big way of us securing another ring. It's a good time to be a New Orleanian Saint.

I'd say more so just 21st century football. I'm not sure Faulk would have had near the success he had if he'd played in the 60's and 70's.

He is certainly one of the top RB's in the modern era, without question.

I'd say Faulk, similarly to Thurman Thomas, were elusive, shifty type backs with great receiving abilities. Emit, like Edrigan James and Deuce, was a great hit the hole, straight ahead power runner. All were great. This is just my opinion.

I said in a post a long time ago that I cannot be sure what is going to happen because I don't know what is going-on in Reggie's head. In this situation, you have to know that to be able to make a prediction.

If playing for a good team with a smart offensive-minded coach and a QB that can take the game plan off paper and put it on the field while using your services in a very effective but limited basis and at the same time giving your career more longevity is important...then I think he will land back in NO.

He is going to get offered more money from someone else, IMO.
