Darren Sharper???

Anyone have any idea if they are even talking with Sharper about returning? IMO last year he was never 100%, I would like to see us resign him again and see what he has left.....if he brings to the table what he did 2 years ago or any where near it I think he would still be a welcomed addition...

any thoughts??

Bring him in. If he can't cut it...cut him.

The salary cap space is probably getting low and there are still a few key moves the Saints may want to make. The 2nd round of cuts by teams are happening and somebody might become available at LB or DT.

I would also like to see us do something at WR. Devery is getting a little long in the tooth

All reports coming from camp are that DH is in beast mode and NOT going to go quietly. He and Meach look to be better than they have ever been. Arrington looks like **** though.

BR; I think the LB's are in the house. As for DT, I see where Wilkerson is scheduled for a "visit" to the Seahawks. I expect Hargrove to be resigned as he gives the Saints versatility (DT and DE, although he has stated he wants to play DE) and a motor.

Like many here...I have no idea what we have in Tom Johnson (Southern Miss and Canadian League).

That being said...the above look like 3 techs...not NT.

Out of curiosity, is this Meach's contract year? That might explain why...

Lol, good point, but who gives a ****. If he helps us TWO DAT, then he needs to get paid.

If not one gets him, i can see him coming back to the saints on a low deal. It would help our depth and our youngsters

RockyMountainSaint 08-01-2011 09:43 AM

I doubt Sharper will return.

I have seen two practices from start to finish and it is glaringly obvious that the light bulb has illuminated in Jenkins' brain.

He looks like he knows exactly where to be at all times and consequently his speed and quickness in coverage is amazing. The dude is everywhere!

Apart from a sick double move put on him by Colston, that would have burned Revis, he contests every pass well.

D-Sharp has become expendable.

Choupique 08-02-2011 10:44 PM

I really enjoyed watching Sharper. His motor is what I respected and that run of interceptions he had going sure was fun to watch.

I'm a Saints fan for life and you're a lifetime Saint, in my eyes... Darren.

But I don't think it can be too low of a deal, because of his years in the league. Unless you think 1 million is low then yea. But I've been wrong plenty before why break the trend??
