Randy Moss Insurance for Colston?

The Saints have never been this primed before for a Run like this season...

...well there were a few early Jim Mora Teams, but Jim Mora was the coach and we had no passing game to relieve the running game because, well, Jim Mora was coach...

...but wouldn't it be prudent to look at options at wide receiver should the injury to Colston linger?

...I threw out the name in the title to grab attention, but there doesn't seem to be concern for our primary receiving threat's health?!?

...and with all the investments made at several positions, nothing is being said about well, you know...

|Mitch| 08-11-2011 07:52 PM

Randy Moss?!

Take it back!

saintfan 08-11-2011 08:04 PM

It might be prudent to look around. I wouldn't look in Moss' direction tho...

strato 08-11-2011 08:08 PM

I would not walk across the street to piss on his face if it was on fire!!

Danno 08-11-2011 08:10 PM

Not gonna happen, shouldn't happen, and I'll vomit if it does.

It will tarnish the Saints brand for years to come.

SAY NO TO MOSS AND T-O.

ChrisXVI 08-11-2011 08:13 PM

Randy Moss or T.O.?!?! Just bring one of these good undrafted free-agent wide receiver's into the fold and mix in a little bit of Darren Sproles on screen passes or flare routes and watch Breesus turn water into wine!

strato 08-11-2011 08:28 PM

Championship!

ChrisXVI 08-11-2011 08:33 PM

It'll be a championship no matter who else we bring in... We all knew a New Orleans Superbowl hangover would last a little longer than any other city!!! At least that's my hangover experience in Nola lol!!!

Good one... welcome aboard. :bng:

WhoDat!656 08-11-2011 10:02 PM

Do T.O. and Moss have any rings so far?

Nuff said!!

Maverick2299 08-11-2011 10:04 PM

T.O. is going to be out till Nov anyway. So you can take him off the maybe list.

neugey 08-11-2011 10:36 PM

Just say no. I don't wanna be

SAINT_MICHAEL 08-11-2011 11:09 PM

I honestly would rather see them miss the playoffs than have them owe a second SB victory to the likes of TO or Moss.

Strato...

I see our taste in women is common...

That woman has been my hero since the Eagles playoff game; and on my "list" since my divorce two years ago...

She could walk into my office tomorrow and declare herself Queen of my company, house, and domain...

Definitely Avatar of the month - though Speedy Ron's has a special place in my Heart...

No Moss please.

NOS2SB 08-12-2011 05:11 AM

NOT NO, BUT HELL NO!!!!

strato 08-12-2011 07:33 AM

I bet he wouldn't gripe about the food in NOLA...lol

jnormand 08-12-2011 09:19 AM

I have never liked or respected Randy Moss. Even when he was with Oakland he was a baby and a thug. Even that freak Childress said Moss "vomited" all over the team. Really? Why the hell would anyone want him? Better yet, why the hell would anyone want this poison in their locker room? I don't give a **** how good he is or was. Stay away. Far away.

papz 08-12-2011 10:15 AM

In the minority, I wouldn't complain if we brought him in for a look see. It does say something if Belichick and Brady didn't even bring him in though.

Saintsfan4ever 08-12-2011 11:48 AM

Attention all Divas, trouble makers, misfits, and malcontents; I hear Philly is hiring. Sorry, New Orleans is a Diva free zone.

saintfan 08-12-2011 01:12 PM

In all honesty I would like to see T.O. He'll cross the middle of the field like very few will, and I've never really heard much about his being a problem in the locker room.

No, I wouldn't sweat T.O., but Moss in a whole different animal IMO.

Yeah, I have heard very often that T.O. in the public and with the media is much different than T.O. in the locker room. He seems to piss off front offices and coaches by running his mouth to the press, but players love him (Aside from big Don). The one thing is that he is definitely a diva in that if you don't give him 60 touches a season he will start getting pissy with everyone. Our team image doesn't support more than a couple of big image players who are ambassadors, and we probably spread the ball around way to much to make him happy...
People thought that about Shockey, too though, turns out if you are winning championships they tend to shut their mouths.

SapperSaint 08-12-2011 01:36 PM

To answer the question, who can replace Colston.

Two words...Lance Moore

Other than that, I really believe we are fine at WR unless our WR's have the luck our RB's had last season....:-(

Weren't there some rumors during the Cowgirls days that there were some altercations between TO, Romo and Witten, which were more of the
locker room nature and not brought to the media's attention as much? I swear I remember something of that sort.

Oh, and I don't think Lance Moore can really replace what Colston does. Don't get me wrong, he could mature into a #1 receiver, but he would not
do the same things as Colston just because of the differences in their physique.

If I had to share a locker room with Tony Romo I would probably try to kick his ass too.

You have something against latino players? ;-)

strato 08-12-2011 04:52 PM

T.O looks like he is ready

Viddy

Mardigras9 08-12-2011 05:00 PM

Definitely NO to Moss, T.O. had a good last season and at this point in his career he might not be too bad. He would be a star among a dozen instead of a few, could his Ego survive?

I thought he did fairly well in that regard during the Buffalo stint where got sucked into the black-hole of media coverage.

The Dude 08-12-2011 05:47 PM

I think it would be a good idea to bring someone in. Dont know if Moss should be that guy or not though. Is Jehrico Cotchery still around?

Danno- "tarnish" our brand? How so? I don't here people saying "The Patriots are a good team and all but they had Randy Moss and are tarnished" Hell they got caught cheating and still are considered by many to be one of the best organizations in football. Winning forgives a whole lot. If we got Moss and won it all, I don't see how anyone would look down on us and if they did well... we got 2 rings.

jeanpierre 08-12-2011 06:12 PM

Cotchery reportedly signed with Pittsburgh...

I'd prefer Moss over TO at this point...

Maverick2299 08-12-2011 07:50 PM

I actually think moss still has some gas left. on the plus side he will make the other team double cover him.
