These are the good ole days for the Saints
 

I hate LSU. No offense guys.

Here's what stood out to me in that article:

"It's August and it's preseason, but the largest Saints crowd in Louisiana Superdome history at 72,578 showed up Friday night at the sparkling, newly renovated 40-year-old arena to see the Saints defeat San Francisco 24-3."

I watched parts of many different games this weekend, and every game I watched, all the stadiums were half empty. Every one of them, except ours!

My hat is off to the designers, builders and remodelers of the Superdome. It began a flurry of dome building throughout the NFL, but apparently only the Superdome was built to last. Most of the rest of them have been imploded. The Kingdome,the Silverdome are gone, and I think a couple others as well but can't recall the names. The Metrodome is going to be gone soon and they're already talking about getting rid of the Georgia dome.

As a truck driver, I've seen nearly every NFL stadium from the road, most have bad locations and are in the middle of nowhere. We couldn't have a better location and so I guess they had to build it to last. I mean where the heck would you put a new stadium in N.O. that would be better than adjacent to the FQ?

Its hard to believe its been here for 40 years. Its an iconic symbol for N.O. and now, finally after all these years its the home of the Saint's Lombardi Trophy.

If you mean no offense, then why even say it?

I liked the article, and I was going to post on the Saints, but then all the talk about LSU at the end bittered my mood, and so I deleted my comment and left that as an explanation.

Did you mean; No offense (uh-fens) as in you didn't want to hurt our feelings,
or; No offense (aw-fens), as in, "Oh no, not another year of Jordon Jefferson!"?

Haha, when I posted it, I almost put a (pun intended) sticker, but that would have come off as more aggressive than I wanted to be.

Honestly, with Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson and this new kid, Mettenberger? I dunno. Good Luck LSU.

As for the school, basically everyone from my high school who I hated ended up at LSU (granted some that I didn't as well.) When I have visited, the number of people that fit the douche mold far outnumber the non-douches...

Finally I tend to dislike almost all schools with Top Tier sports and Bottom Tier academics. The kind of misplaced priorities that I think are indicative of the larger problems with our society....

No more politics though, but I did think, as a Louisiana-based sports board, you guys deserve an explanation for why I don't like one of the state's beloved teams.

That knocks out about 90% of the NCAA...

Basically, I actually don't like college sports for the most part for the same reason.
