Putting the Brooks myth to rest

Comments like the following have followed and come out of the Blanco campaign :

It\"s about time to tell Mr. Benson where to go with his dome and his team. The state is giving him 3 million a year for nothing.

If he can\"t make enough with the Saints he eather needs to open up a new car lot or sell a couple of them. As a taxpayer I\'m tired of sending this sorry bum my hard worked dollars. It\"s time for the next governor to tell Benson no more state money.

Now the big question for Benson is , can he continue to serve up mediocrity in the Superdome ???

He is soon going to need to prove he is worth any investment from the state ............

Not to mention Benson originally financially backed the loser in the Governors race .

Has anyone else read those Blanco comments? It\'s very hard for me to believe that Blanco would have said those exact quotes.

Is 08 tellin\' the truth here, or is he back on the sauce? You just don\'t know what the guy(08) is gonna say next. The \"National Enquirer\" ain\'t got nothing on you 08!! Send me some of those \"pills\" that you\'re on. No need to be greedy.

A link would be nice. You just never know about 08. I mean, the \"National Enquirer\" has a \"legit\" story every once in a while, but I\'m kind of skeptical about \"ELVIS\" still being alive.

Hey Danno --

You forgot to use the word \"Clearly\" which as I have observed recently has become Whodat\'s most over used word. Clearly he uses that one a bit too often...

Certainly the much debated Jindal - Saints connection which was dragged through the muck in the election from the candidates does not need to be mentioned any further .

Comments like the following have followed and come out of the Blanco campaign :

This does not mean Blanco stated during her campaign , this means as a byproduct of her campaign or her voters .

I do not have the transcipt for this precious moment , but it was posted on another site .

Blanco\'s word\'s on the Saints during one of the primary debates.

\"This State has far too many problems and more pressing issues than Mr. Benson\'s hobby.\"

She does not support giving the Saints any state money, nor does she support reinvesting the revenues payed to the state that are generated by the Saints back into the Saints.

She can and will renegotiate/restructure the current contract with Benson effectively instituting the out clause and freeing this team to possibly move in 2005 and pay only a minimal fee to the state for leaving.

Anyone who watched the debates, has to understand that she was the worst case scenario.
