Thoughts on the up coming Greenbay game

I have watched both their preseason games and their are a couple opinions I have.

1. GB's OL is still bad to be polite. Rogers is going to have to use a west coast offense against us or he is going to have a lone day. He maybe has 2-3 seconds and a quick drop.

2. Rogers is still wildly inaccurate at times, not a good thing against the
#1-3 best secondary in the NFL. I think we will get some picks off him.

3. Rogers still likes to run. god help him, we all know GW loves to kill QB's. He needs to stay in the pocket Vs us, or we will hit him.

4. GB has a pretty good run game. I think thats the key to the game is containing GB's run game. Our secondary are faster than their receivers.

5. GB's run defense is very good. I don't think a balanced offense attack will work VS them. We could surprise them with the run, but screens and Brees accuracy passing might be the best offensive strategy for this game.

6. I don't think there secondary is better than ours. We could pick them apart on slants, hitch plays. Work down the field like we did to the Colts.
I think this is why the patriots beat them last year.

7. For some reason GB defense has a problem lining up and and calling audibles, hope breed sees that and fast snaps them.

8. Defense has a real problem covering screen plays. Seems they are so interested in sacking and pushing forward they forget about the middle of the field.

Anyway, thats how I see it. Greenbay played the Failclowns and a Steelers team to win the SB, I really don't think they are built to beat a fully healthy Saints team in the playoffs, even last year. And I think we are better this year.
We would beat both those teams also.
No disrespect, they deserve the ring. But its a new season and GW's defense is a lot better this year I think.

Im thinking
34 Saints
17 Greenbay

Here's my thoughts on Green Bay, and here's why I think it will be a great matchup. Because both of the past two seasons these teams paths were supposed to cross, but didn't. In 09, I can honestly say we didn't want to see Green Bay it was the one team I thought would given us a real test. They got ousted on a fluke fumble, touchdown. We win the Superbowl. In the 10 season I thought differently, I thought that the one team they didn't want to see was us. Even as banged up as we were I thought we would beat them in the dome if it came to that. We never got there, poor tackling got us the playoff loss and wouldn't you know it, they won the Superbowl. Should be a great matchup. We have to be on point to get this one. All the momentum is with GB, we play with a chip on our shoulder we should be able to pull it out.

I only have one thought when it comes to the Green Bay game...CLAY MATTHEWS! With Strief and Bushrod as our starting tackles I think, unless we run the ball effectively and do some creative things, he's going to wreak havoc.

You need to read a bit I think, lol, 15th is pretty funny.

We get a running game going as we slow down clay Matthews

Just enough to keep the defense honest ( although I won't complain if Mark Ingram rips off some big yardage!

Use Pierre, Sproles and Ingram on screen plays because they ALL have great vision and balance and can hit holes real quick

Finally

Let GW do what he does best and get the defense to pin their ears back and attack, 09 was a good year for our D for a reason, yes we gave up some big yardage, but the amount of turnovers we forced cannot be overshadowed by yardage

We get back to a balance attack like in 09, and The D gets aggressive and we win!

Talk to me the week of the game.

The defense needs to get pressure on Rodgers. Keep him in the pocket. And Brees needs to light it up. I have been saying this is a statement game. Must win

I think you are selling Green Bay way too short.

I find point 1 and 3 contridicting. I also don't think they have that good of a run game. Point #2 is a little confusing. The two top quarterbacks in the league right now are Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. I find Rodgers to be extremely accurate... hardly wild by any means. On point 6, I think we're about even. I'd take their corners over ours and our safeties of theirs. On point 7 and 8, they were the 5 ranked defense in the league last season... just a hair behind us. They had more sacks, a better scoring defense, and like a said previous... just a hair behind us in the other categories. I don't think they have any issues lining up and adjusting to what their opponents are doing.
