Yep

xan 08-21-2011 08:06 PM

Is that rhetorical?

lynwood 08-21-2011 08:09 PM

Yes

Danno 08-21-2011 08:14 PM

Yes I am. I know its only pre-season, but our O-line looked to have regressed last season and it looks exactly the same so far after 2 pre-season games.

I'm not gonna panic because we won 11 freaking games with this "regressed" O-line last year so even when they struggle they're probably still above average.

I like what I saw with Strief. He played better than I thought he would.

The optimist in me says Kreutz is still trying to get in sync with the rest of the line.

Charles Brown is built like a DE, not a LT and definitely not like a RT. He was as pathetic as I've seen a O-lineman look in years.

I haven't pressed the panic buuton yet, but I've damn sure located in on my dashboard.

That.. and the D line being swiss cheese ..has me worried.

I dunno. The D-line looked great one game, and bad the next. The O-line looked bad in both games.

Those zone blocking teams take time to gameplan against, which I'm sure we didn't do.

One thing to remember also we struggle against the 3-4...and Houston is way better this year on D...i saw it coming with Watt...the dude is an animal.

Very worried about the O-Line....Are there any free agents we might want to take a look at?

I'm pretty sure Loomis is reviewing his list in front of him as we speak.

...Since '06 man. And I've stated it before, Payton clearly has problems playing the 3-4 defense.

Look I know it's preseason and on top of that, it's a shortened season, but the O line looks waaay more discombobulated than the d line.

strato 08-21-2011 08:33 PM

I know one who is available ..but not sure he is worth a look..Leonard Davis

Yeah and remember in 09.. Wade ran that Dallas D and had our number..but i want to give props to Houston...they look to be a force and should win that division...

I hope we practice against our 3-4 formations quite a bit..because i dont want a repeat on Sept 25..Im going to that one ...:bng:

They could've won it last year. Defense was their achilles...not any more. The addition of Watt and the switch to 3-4, 5-2, whatever they run - it's all designed to stop Payton Manning. Probably the reason Houston went "all out" against Brees.

Ashley 08-21-2011 09:17 PM

Yes I am.

FireVenturi 08-21-2011 10:20 PM

Somewhat worried. I think Strief will be an upgrade over 2010 Stinchcomb, and Kreutz will be a wash for Goodwin. It may take the line a few games to get on the same page. I would play them 3 quarters this coming week against the Raiders.

homerj07 08-22-2011 07:37 AM

Yeah & there are players available - even if it is only for depth.

Has Stinch signed with anyone?

Marlboro Man 08-22-2011 07:48 AM

It's only preseason, nothing to worry about. We play them again in 4 weeks. We didn't want to show them anything. These games don't count. Everything will be fine in a couple of weeks. I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. We played very vanilla. The sky's not falling. Why so serious? I don't know why all of y'all don't get it. We're gonna go from being B-Slapped to world beaters in 3 weeks just you watch. Oh well, I can't think of any more right now, but when I do I'll let you know.

Crusader 08-22-2011 08:06 AM

I thought the run blocking was improved this week. Not really worried.

I'm reading more and more articles stating the same thing, about our starters that is.

Our back-ups looked bad.

Crusader 08-22-2011 08:17 AM

Thats why they are backups. Remember most of them are quite new to this system and have not had minicamps and OTAs.

hagan714 08-22-2011 11:34 AM

LOT is my concern and always will be. we need a young all pro here.
got plenty of RT on the roster.
as drew goes so do the saints.
