Preseason Analysis

I have read about how bad the game was Saturday night, I have seen the highlights, but in a preseason game against a team we play in week 3 how much do you think Payton was gonna show? Remember how vanilla game plans were in 2009 after he had clinched a 1st or 2nd seed. Payton refuses to show his hand. He uses his game plan to the caliber team he is playing and also the big picture. Everyone needs to relax and get off the roller coaster. We have one of the best teams in football, enjoy the ride!

Thank you!!

You would think the Saints missed the playoffs because of that game.

Vanilla Camilla...that doesn't excuse mistakes..we need to clean up things before Sept 8th...all the hype about us being the most ready team coming into training camp put high expectations on us..

We need to eliminate mental errors and stay injury free in the next two weeks. that's all i am worried about .....oh and the Pack...i want us to win and really make a strong statement out the gate..get our swagger going again..

So are we not to assume that the Texans weren't being vanilla? And if they were also being vanilla, I still don't see how it would be a positive thing that we got ran all over.

True BUT man the tackling was HORRID - shades of Seattle all over again!!

As said up above, vanilla game-plans DO-NOT excuse the piss poor tackling!

I rate that lower than the Seattle game; you'd think that Williams & Payton would have learned from that mistake the first time around.

Good for them actually. I hated it when Houston lost Big Blue. Glad when they got a team and would sure like to see them overtake the stupid Colts.

This might the year they do it SF...they will be tough as long as they stay healthy..they have the best running game in the league and Wade will have the D respectable...kinda like us the pieces are coming together for them..with that said they could really suck this year...lol..I think we will see Payton and Williams game plan totally different Sept 25th...more blitzes and man to man will cause more pressure from us and thats how you disrupt Schaubs timing...but they run that same dam cut back style of running Denver had so much success with.. you have to game plan for it..that's what got Franklin hurt..

We are still the better team and the sports jocks here know that..they know its preseason...and don't think the Texans go to NOLA and do as well...and neither do i..

Watch the game again. Their defense (at least) was nothing close to vanilla.

Our defense on the other hand looked dazed & confused.

BTW, welcome aboard.:bng:
