OXNARD, Ca. - Saints head coach Sean Payton said that starting guard Carl Nicks had his knee examined after leaving practice early Monday. He was not able to elaborate further, but any injury to the offensive line stalwart would be closely monitored.

In addition, Payton confirmed that DT Aubrayo Franklin - a key offseason pickup - would probably be out 2-3 weeks with an MCL sprain.

In addition: Two players still remain on the failed physical list – RB Chris Ivory and DE Greg Romeus. Guys that did not practice due to injury – LB Ezra Butler (left hamstring), DT Tom Johnson (left calf), CB Johnny Patrick (right knee), DE Jeff Charleston (left ankle), CB Fabian Washington (right hamstring), LB Will Herring (right calf), that was from the game and we think it will be a couple days with him.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

We've got a problem and I can't deny it any longer. At first I thought it was the conditioning coach or the trainers. I haven't ruled either out yet. But our doctors have misdiagnosed injuries repeatedly also. Somewhere there is an answer. It would be nice to get this figured out.

Why? Its not like this site is soooooo busy that the front page is "valuable real estate" as another douche bag site claims. I like being able to log in and see who is injured without having to sift through pages and pages on one injury thread. Its nice to be able to log on and scroll down and see whats new. If every injury gets merged into one thread I will most likely miss it, and I one thing I like about this site is that it keeps me informed. You start merging threads and it loses the appeal of being able to catch breaking news.

That's a fair assessment.

But, as I pointed out a few weels ago, several reporters (mostly TP) were prepared to ask Coach Payton about the rash of Sports Hernia injuries that the Saints have incurred.

The question never was asked - fear of "public record?"

But sports hernia? Over ten cases? The question begs to be asked.

Now injuries and the NFL are a long, bad marriage; but when you see the same, multiple injuries, you have to examine training, if for no other reason, to rule out cause...

I just posted the guy's picture because you would think that if the guy is a conditioning coach, his essential essence, then why does he look like one of the Bubba Bros I enjoy Crawfish and Beer with?

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Fair. But the same discussion is going on multiple threads and it'd be great if we could get some of these excellent posts together; that's all...

Thats a risk I'd be willing to take. I'm with jeanpierre on this, a lot of time we're discussing the exact same topic in 3-4 different threads.
