Whodat from the Hurricane

I fear for loss of power, and thereby losing the opportunity to see the Saints on National TV tomorrow night. As Irene bears down on Joisee, and the possibility of not participating in tomorrow evening's in-game chat, I would like to ask one of the devoted to take my place as the snarky doomsayer.

It is not hard to channel, just think back to the 43 years of frustration and let the complex bouquet of feelings dominate your assessment of even the most minor of action.

Thanks and Geaux Saints!

Saints suck.

Nah, not snarky enough.

Got to think of something more clever.

jnormand 08-27-2011 04:40 PM

I can't take your place Xan, but please be careful. God bless and be safe.

Halo 08-27-2011 08:31 PM

Praying for you man...

saintfan 08-27-2011 08:55 PM

Hang in there dude.

Already flooding. Just 10 more hours of bailing. And we're near the top of a hill!

Thanks guys. It could be worse.

Not trying to be a bad guy, and I feel for ya, but tell me something. You think the Panthers, Jets and Giants fans are laughing about a hurricane hitting NO now? Just saying.

homerj07 08-28-2011 07:39 AM

I hope you are Ok man & have power & can watch the game!!

You would thik the whole sky fell according to the news.

A CAT1 - hell thats just a big one down here in Florida

strato 08-28-2011 07:42 AM

Glad it was only a Cat 1..stay safe man...maybe next time a Cat 4 can jump over to Chicago...let them feel what its like..

No one is laughing now. But then, nj and ny believe in federal assistance, so we may be in better shape than most. I just hope they invest in the electrical grid in the future because it may be a week before power is restored.

Giants and eagles fans are freaked out. Jets fans too drunk to notice.

Our problem is that the surge forced water into where our runoff would go, and we only have gravity seewers, no assist.

Thanks for all the positive vibe. Kept the damage down to 10 inches in the basement and up to now only 1 missed preseason game.

If I get some juice on my cell, I'll check in to chat and get your knowledge on the state of the state. Be well everyone

To all the East Coast Who Dats, hope you guys are safe. I was lucky, never lost power and no flooding. Glad I get to see the game tonight and join in the chat.

Typically that makes it worse.

But good luck Xan, I hope you and yours made it through OK.

I had to do my Army PT test while being drenched by Irene. All is well. It was no Katrina. Hope jersey is the same.

RailBoss 08-28-2011 05:04 PM

We got it in DC but Irene was a cakewalk compared to Katrina.
