Looks like Deandre McDaniel and Mark Parsons from what I can tell so far...

no clue - I have not read anything BUT I come here first fo rmy Siants news & then move on to other sites.

I hope they're at least candidates for the practice squad.

You ought to get on twitter and follow NFL news sources as well as#Saints players there for the quickest news on the planet...

Yeah man, he answered my question about not getting any chances to play in preseason, but didn't answer back when I asked if they talked to him at all about his release. Tells me that they never told him they wanted to resign him to the PS if he cleared waivers.

Reading the tea leaves around the interweb, it sounds like DE Alex Brown has been waived. Trying to confirm. That'd be a shocker.

We can now confirm that DE Alex Brown was released by the #Saints.

I'm starting to think this Will Smith thing is going to get pushed wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back.

And a savings of $3mm for little to no production.

Saints released DE Alex Brown.

The move comes as a surprise in that Brown started all three preseason games after working with the first team throughout training camp. The nine-year veteran was due $3 million after starting all 16 games at left end last season. The Saints have added first-rounder Cam Jordan and veteran Turk McBride since then. Brown took the news well, tweeting that the Saints are a "class organization.

I agree not sad at all to see Alex Brown go.

Now we are down to six. Still too many. Someone else has to go also. I wish him all the best and hope we don't miss him. Sometimes you have to be careful what you ask for. That makes 3 more million available for the Brees deal.

Alex Brown....hmmmmm HES A BUMMM! Wish Bobby the Break your QB McCray stayed instead of bringin him in, but oh well life goes on, I think we need to throw Leigh torrence and a 3rd at the Gmen for Osi, Paul Oliver needs to study his playbook he looks uncoached and just plain awful

New Orleans Saints Roster Moves from 90 to 80 Include a Signing
 

While most NFL teams worked to cut 10 players to pare their rosters down to 80 from 90, the New Orleans Saints had to lose 11 while adding one more to the mix.

The “tweaked” hip of Saints kicker Garrett Hartley 5 from Sunday night’s preseason game against the Raiders in Oakland must be a little bit worse than first anticipated by HC Sean Payton.
