New Orleans Saints waive Chris Ivory from injured reserve, make other moves
 

The New Orleans Saints have made several moves today, according to the NFL transaction wire:
The most surprising move was waiving Chris Ivory from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Reserve/injured: RB Patrick Cobbs; WR Joe Morgan (knee); S Paul Oliver.
Reserve/non-football injury: DE Greg Romeus (knee). Contracts terminated: OT Jordan Black; S Quincy Butler; OT George Foster; TE Tory Humphrey; CB Trumaine McBride; S Pierson Prioleau; S Chris Reis; FB Chris Taylor (from reserve/injured, injury settlement).

This says Ivory has been put on the PUP.

No big suprises. I had hoped Lorenzen would stick BUT maybe the practice squad

Really, could they have screwed this up any worse than they did?

I almost wonder if its intentional. Get everyone in a frenzy and we're all scrambling everywhere to find the correct info.

Waiving a guy that was the leading rookie rusher during part of last season makes no sense. IR seems ridiculous too. I've read that Ivory and Romeus were running at practices. I suppose that is not a perfect gauge of a man's health but its all I've got.
I'm certain that the reports of him on the PUP are correct.

On a side note, I love Romeus' name. I've read a bit on him as most of you have so I know that he has potential but it is his name that has me on the fan club.

This is getting confusing. Can we get a definite confirmed report on Ivory?

I'd find it hard to believe that if we did in fact cut him, he'd already be on another teams roster.
