Saints embrace chance to defy NFL 'kickoff' trend

We have overcome so many other obstacles - why not this one?

I do not think the league wants us to win... Why would they wait unitl a week before the game to officially suspend Will Smith?

League wants us to lose... really?

I think its a great match up with two of the most EXCITING teams going head to head why wouldn't you want that as your season kick off game. Not to mention the Saints have been a huge draw of viewers the past two seasons now.

You want them to pick a game in the middle of the season to sit Smith, that would be obvious then wouldn't it?

I would argue thought that the better match up would be the two teams who met in the SB should square off on the season opener, not the winner of the past 2 SB's.

It sucks that the league waited so long to announce Smith's suspension. Bad timing at the very least.
