3 mistakes

1 fumble early.

call pass on fourth and inches.

call run on fourth and 1

this game could have been ours.

Choupique 09-08-2011 10:59 PM

Yes, it could have.

Maverick2299 09-08-2011 11:00 PM

I agree with all of those except for the Forth and 1 call.

The fumble was the game changer... was a 7 point swing.

Agreed, should have been a sneak on fourth and inches.

arsaint 09-08-2011 11:02 PM

Within our grasp and we let it get away...

Euphoria 09-08-2011 11:04 PM

One or two of the plays yall think were mistakes ended up in our favor GB wouldn't have run the ball late in the game to run the clock down.

It doesn't matter we lost and GB owned us.

We are right where we were 3 and 4 years ago with the D we had under Gibbs.

It doesn't matter if you can score 40 if your opponent scores 42.

arsaint 09-08-2011 11:07 PM

Good news is we probably only have 3 more games where this could be a danger.

Bad news is that if we want to get back to the big dance, we more than likely will see the Packers again and now it will likely be in GB.

Am I the ONLY person on here wondering why Ingram was the guy that carried the ball at the end? Most times I want to HUG SP, but after that call ... I want to crush him. I'm not happy with Ingram in that situation at all ... Thomas has proven time and time again the ability to get that yard. (SEE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME VS. vikeQUEENS).

NOS2SB 09-08-2011 11:20 PM

Totally agree

The thing that happens time and time again, regardless of whos toting the rock, is that we get stuffed. It ain't the back. It's the line.

Maverick2299 09-08-2011 11:20 PM

Ingrim showed in pre-season he could punch it in, so I think that's why they went to him. But even if Thomas was there, we would have been stopped. A.J Hawk jumped over the pile to plug the hole.

what hole?

Maverick2299 09-08-2011 11:23 PM

The hole over the pile, where Ingrim was trying to jump.

Euphoria 09-08-2011 11:40 PM

There was no hole.

Maverick2299 09-08-2011 11:41 PM

because it got plugged

Memnoch_TP 09-08-2011 11:41 PM

I think this loss comes down to too much 28, not enough 23. That 3rd and goal should have been PT23, he would have flown over that pile instead of getting stuffed.

That last play, my quote was "If Payton does anything but give the ball to 23 this is over"... I'm not dissing on Ingram, but 23 has proven himself against Super Bowl caliber teams. This was Ingram's first NFL game. In this situation you don't lean on the bloody rookie in crunch time when you have PT23 on your sideline.

Call on 4th and inches was stupid, should have been QB sneak.
Colston's passive attempts at catching the ball in traffic, his 2 drops per game and 1 fumble a game are getting old. Hey, it is what it is. We're back to playing intimidated football.

st thomas 09-08-2011 11:55 PM

what happen to the ole bootleg toss when a defense wants to get agressive at the goal line, we never have got that yard since 06.
