My observations of the game came down to the lines. GB dominated the line on both sides of the ball. Rodgers threw some incredible passes...a few inches here or there and its incomplete. Coverage was tight on alot of the throws but do agree with the ? on playing 10+ yards cushion from inside the 15.
Im new to your boards so Im not invested with alot of emotion for the Saints. Brees looked good and yes got lucky a couple of times wih no picks. The backs are fine but the line has to have a push if you want to get that yard. Rewatch the last dive, he was about 6 inches off the ground and was hit midbody....no chance. if you have a chance rewatch the game and focus on line play.

Attempts to fix the D-Line: FAIL
Believe me, Will Smith would not have helped this piss poor defensive display.
Attempts to fix the ST: FAIL (With the exception of Sproles, Reggie Who?)
Attempts to fix the LB Corps: Did we even try to fix the LB Corps? Is age catching up with Vilma?
Attempt to fix the C position: FAIL

Absentees: Shaun Rogers, Aubrayo Franklin, Roman Harper, Sedric Ellis, Malcom Jenkins (1 good hit is not a game), Patrick Robinson, Tracey Porter, Marques Colston, our ENTIRE LB CORPS.

Seriously though, yes, GB was and is the better team. We have regressed instead of progressed. GB deserved to win this game.

Yes, it's a long season, and it just got a lot longer tonight. We better get out there and sign Sharper and Hargrove and yes maybe even Brown back.

Sadly, the Texans exposed us in that second PS game. Stop New Orleans screen and short passing game and we're done. SP's playcalling oh well. I don't think we even really tried to run the ball tonight. Well, before seeing this game in live fire, I thought we'd go 12-4 sadly it looks more like 9-7, with an 0-3 start. But hey, it'll be entertaining.

I actually am with you on this, I see some moves being made now that week one for the Saints is over.

I would like to add that D. Thomas and Graham looked horrible trying to block last night. Also, neither of the FB's looked worthy of a roster spot much less both of them being active. Who would have played center if Kreutz went down?

I thought that Harper played fine. Nice sack, good coverage. Aaron Rodgers was on fire.

The front 7 still needs work, or at least more time to gel.

I watched some video of the tackling drills they ran at camp. I don't think they use the right technique and/or positioning. They are taught to hit in the middle and drive up and back. While that may be somewhat effective I believe that when you drive them up you are losing your leverage. Hit them in the gut and drive them to the deck. And for God sakes keep your hands low around the waist or legs. We either try to missile tackle with out a wrap up or we grab at the jersey or shoulders. Neither is effective. I'm done ranting.

"Also O-line played pretty well against one of the best pass rushing D's in the league."

ERRRh!! Wrong answer (sorry Maverick)

The O-line was not that good. They had "moments" when they were good.

BUT.... THey had to many "moments" when they just plain SUCKED DONKEY TESTICLES.

Good thing this was on grass with the way Drew was getting hit. If it had been any dome - he'd be out with shoulder/chest injuries.
