Colston hurt his shoulder?

I'm reading some fantasy stuff and it sounds like Colston might have hurt his shoulder on the big grab at the end of the 4th quarter.

He was definitely grabbing it after the play but I've seen no official word on his status.

It looked like he hurt it. I hope he's ok. Not really a guy we can afford to lose.

Are me and Strato the only people who think we should take a look at TO?

xan 09-09-2011 12:11 PM

I like TO, as well. Looking doesn't mean buying.

cmike 09-09-2011 12:40 PM

I think we should take a look at TO. I like my receivers to have some attitude and personality. Lance and Jimmy are really the only pass catchers to bring that swagger on the field. Sometimes Colston looks like he's not having fun out there. Bringing in TO would help losen him up a bit. And as we all know coach Payton AINT putting up with the BS.

MorningWood 09-09-2011 12:48 PM

Isn't TO down for the count with a knee surgery? From what I recall it sounded like under the best case scenario it would be much later in the season before he could even think about playing.

Well this just suxs!

You're probably the only two on the entire planet that would want anything to do with such a douchebag, is my guess.

Sean Payton wouldn't touch him due to TO's attitude and mentality, but you obviously don't get that. Got it.

Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed Friday afternoon that Marques Colston suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday night's NFL opener.

Payton provided no details, so it sounds like the team is awaiting MRI results before updating Colston's condition. Some rumors have circulated that the Saints are fearing a significant injury. We should know more by the weekend.

It looked like to me he landed on the ball so hopefully it's just a bruise and nothing torn.

Speedy Ron 09-09-2011 03:29 PM

well im really not surprised. most of our players are very fragile. I second bringing in moss. That was a great catch Colston made and we do need him. Meachem is just not as physical and neither is devery. Adrian Arrington hasnt been healthy for more than 15 minutes at a time so if this is a bad injury something as to be done. Before we know it Montez Billings will be on the roster and i will be puking

Is Colston injuried?

Someone posted on another forum, without a link, that he has a broken collar bone and will be out 4-6 weeks.

Danno 09-09-2011 05:11 PM

He is hurt, but haven't heard details.

Danno 09-09-2011 05:17 PM

Broken collarbone...

Thanks Danno!

Just found the story and was going to post link!

Cruize 09-09-2011 05:24 PM

He jumped up after the play and I was hoping it was just a bruise type injury. Since it sounds worse, I give him credit for a being tough guy and knowing the rules. Get well soon MC!

homerj07 09-10-2011 10:46 AM

4 weeks - hah. We all know this is 6 weeks, minimum, until he can really get out there again.
