I forgot how cool Michael Lewis was!!

im glad you did, 656..... it was a fun/albeit painful article.

used to be anytime I met up with other Saints fans somewhere, the topic would always come to "what was our saddest loss?"

Man! Michael Lewis was so fast he made other fast guys look not fast.

Beerman was AWESOME. Still holds lots of the Saints ST records.

I'm sure most of us could add more.

Remember the time Joe Horn was wide open and the ref got in the way and collided with him, causing him to miss the pass?

Or the 41-10 loss to the Viqueens in the 87 WC game? We were up 10-0 and then the wheels came off.

Or Ditka grabbing his crotch at the fans after making a horrible call prior to the end of the 1st half?

Or Haslett playing a one-armed Brooks in the season finale against Carolina, costing us a chance at the playoffs?

Or drafting Russell Erxleben in the 1st round?

And while speaking of Lewis, there was a game where another team's KR busted through the coverage and was headed to the endzone - nobody had a chance at him after the kicker wiffed.

Then you see Lewis enter the screen around the 50 yard line (he had come from the other side of the field).

HE WALKED THE DUDE DOWN LIKE HE WASN'T EVEN MOVING!

It was hilarious!

If you watch the slow mo you can see the returner look back and see nothing. You know he had to be thinking who the hell was that.

My Ultimate Saints Experience was going to Texas Stadium in '84, leading by 21 with Richard Todd doing a pretty bang-up job, before getting hurt. In walks the Snake Stable Horror Show, and we promptly get a blocked punt, couple of interceptions, and an endzone fumble for a 1am overtime loss. On a special Sunday edition of Monday Night Football.

I didn't watch all of it, but yes, that is the one against the Texans!
