On To The Bears

Alright folks. Bears coming into the Dome 1-0. They looked pretty good against a questionable Failcone "D".

Can we stop their rush? Will we be able to run against the Bear "D"? Will we blizt the snot out of Cutler?

Danno 09-11-2011 03:39 PM

The Bears look very very good. Awesome defense and Cutler is lethal when he's on.

This is now a much tougher game than I thought it would be. Our Defense better be ready, and our offense better bring their A-game.

Saintswrath 09-11-2011 03:47 PM

I think Atlanta was just bad and Cutler and his Offense took great advantage of all the holes they were able to exploit, Chicago's defense is what we should be a tad bit worried about.

Pete 09-11-2011 03:49 PM

After watching the constant pressure they were able to get on the quaterback in red, white, and black, our O-line better bring their "A" game! Our running back corp. will need to be stout and on guard too.Cutler picked them apart when they were in zone I thought. That may have been caused because of the way Forte was running the rock down their throats, causing the LB's to play up.

All in all I'm not too worried about them.I'm believing that our coach will coach his coaches into putting a damn good game plan together for this next one!
I'm thinking Jenkins comes up with two picks in this meeting between us and them! Here's to wishful thinking.

WHO-DAT!
ATLANTA GOT STOMPED!!!!!!!!!I'll smile until gameday!:bng:

Danno 09-11-2011 03:52 PM

I keep thinking the Bears are overrated, but they keep on kicking your teeth in.

I hope we (the team rather) don't think the Bears are an easy out. They can and will stomp our ass if we think so.

I'm glad the Bucs and Falcons lost, but I'm afraid its because the Bears and Lions are much better than many thought, not that the Bucs and Falcons are overrated.

BTW: Brees has nver beaten the Bears.

UK_WhoDat 09-11-2011 04:02 PM

I know we can put up yards against the Bears; passing and rushing.
We protect the ball and we win.

st thomas 09-11-2011 04:07 PM

ATLANTAS DEFENSE IS REGRESSING, IT HAS BEEN SINCE LAST SEASON AND IT SHOWED TODAY. THEY DISCIDED TO GO UP IN DA DRAFT AND GO HOOLIO.
THEY ALSO ARE STARTING 2 ROOKS ON O-LINE I THINK I HEARD TODAY. THE BEARS LOOKED GOOD IN FRONT OF THERE HOME CROWD. PEPPERS, URLACHER ARE JUST 2 THAT DREW WILL HAVE TO BE WIDE EYED ON.
WE WILL BE READY AND I PIDDY WHO GETS IN OUR WAY NEXT SUNDAY.

|Mitch| 09-11-2011 04:10 PM

Yep; overpaid for JJ; and 2 rookies on the O-Line is always bad news! I believe I heard Meg Ryan was sacked 5 times and hit 15 times? Taking that many hits and he won't make all season...

From what I saw Thursday, our D is regressing too...

Sinner 09-11-2011 07:27 PM

No. We GOT this...

homerj07 09-11-2011 07:36 PM

Our O-line needs to do a better job of defending Drew!!

First the Failclows are beneeth us....second, we will stomp da bears. F Dem...we got this

SaintPauly 09-11-2011 11:00 PM

I'm all for positive reinforcement, really. And I also got into every game, with the belief that we are going to win. I HATE the Bears, and every since 06, and them stomping us in the NFCCG, I have wanted nothing but revenge on every level. The Bears running game is very good. Their special teams are also, very good. The only suspect on this team that I see, is the offense. Our D is going to have to come up BIG this Sunday, to avoid 0 and 2......

Marlboro Man 09-11-2011 11:14 PM

If our D plays like last week, we'll be 0-2 and guess what? The following week we get to play the last team that B-Slapped us a few weeks ago in preseason.

foreverfan 09-11-2011 11:39 PM

We won't win if Harper, Henderson or Shanley have anything to do with it.

Why throw Henderson in there? All he did against the Packers was have a great game.

I think this will be a very tough game and I'm happy its at home. GW better crank up the volume on D. We need to get to Cutler early and often, please bitz Harper and let him rock him.

O-line needs to man up and get down and dirty. I believe Kreutz will hav a good game and will do his part o fire up the group.

AlaskaSaints 09-12-2011 04:04 AM

Okay, now we're going to beat the team who beat the team who beat us to end our season last year and this comes after we lose to the team we should have beaten last year to go to the Super Bowl..........

OOOOOOOOkkkkaaaayyyy......

And said team just crushed the Falcons.....

When was the last time we crushed anoyone?....

Like all the experts said, the dirty turds did nothing to improve their defense. All they have is Abraham and actually Grimes is playing pretty good. Did not see Edwards make any positive plays yesterday. I saw poor tackling which led to a long TD from a screen pass and a defesive TD when Moldy Ice fumbled tring to scramble and lost his footing on a crappy field. Cutler will still make bad throws that we need to pick. The turds dropped at least 2 potential picks yesterday. As in every game turnovers are the key to winning this game.

Doesn't matter, he's the B&G scapegoat, like Harper. One or two bad plays and the whole loss gets pinned on them.

Its unfortunate that some folks on this site so frequently put their ignorance on display. It brings down the entire football IQ of the site and makes me really wanna post here less and less (although some may prefer that).

Don’t know why Henderson was thrown in, in the past he’s been good against the Bears and he caught everything that was thrown his way plus a TD against the Packers. I agree with Crusader the defense needs to be relentless against the Bears offense. If we get Harper involved early with the blitz, the Bears may not be inclined to target him much in their passing game. This is game for the trenches and last week we got owned so both lines needs to boot up!!!!

well if you look at last years stats the bears are more a myth than reality. I think the failclowns just suck as much as we all thought they did. Failclowns are easy, shut down turner and they go to pieces. Their a run team, wannabe pass team, but their QB meg ryan can't make difficult game plays.

To put it frankly the Bears are ok, but not that good. Cutler reminds me of meg ryan , only with a better arm, and he's not a leader so that team can't rally or come from behind. Most of their points were from turnovers. Bears only have a a few great players that make them win games Forte and hester. IF we lock them up and maintain ball control their is no reason we should not beat them.

Not being arrogant , they are simply not that good and not near as good as the Saints right now.

Really doesn't matter if they stop our run game, they can't stop are pass game. This game reminds me of the steelers game last year 20-3, except the steelers are a good team, and big Ben is a way better QB.

With our pass defense cutler is in for a very long day, and if our new DL shows up Forte can be stopped. offensively the Bears , as you can see , have the worst OL and total stats.

No idea why the media is hyping them up. I mean, one ok team kicking another ok teams butt isn't news. Even the bengals won sometimes, lol.
Its like Buffalo beating the chiefs this weekend, who really cares, neither team has a very good chance of winning a super bowl right now.

Our offense is better this year, of that I am positive, and our defense is at least #10 in the NFL. We have guys that can step in for colston, but we need Moore to play.
switching Robinson to CB and putting porter in the nickel was a mistake, we need to switch them back.

To be completely honest when you look at the Bears or qears, I like to call them after
their idot fans showed the world what kind of insensitive ,brainless, pizza hut eating, beer guzzling, morons they are in 2006, their team is maybe ok, but not good.

No, the qears will come to the Dome and get exactly what they deserve. They will get beat by a way better team.

Rugby Saint II 09-12-2011 01:25 PM

It'll probably be another nail biter.

Belair57 09-12-2011 01:51 PM

Ill buy what your selling, except i watched that game and man those bears played physical. They were going for the strip on every play, they beat the CRAP outta the Falcons line even with a 4 man rush. How is peppers going to be maintained by Zach Queef? We have our work cut out for us. I read a stat somewhere last night that said the Bears Sacked Meg Ryan twice and Hit him. HIT HIM 15 damn times.!!!!! We cant have that happen to brees ..so that means TEs are blocking and we will probably have a HEAVY dose of the run game. IMO. I might be wrong , been wrong a million times
