Something that bothered me about the Bears game

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I don't have a problem with it at all. We were mostly running out of clock and the chance of something bad happening is so miniscule it's not worth worry about. There are other things that are more important. What ...

What bothered me the most is that Pierre, obviously the better of our two backs, still isn't getting the lion's share of the carries. IMO, Ingram should have to prove he is the best RB of the team and he hasn't done that, but it appears he is already crowned.

Of course it didn't matter this week, but a week will come where it will.

yeah, but Pinch, you only have so many balls. really. I've seen this before. You get a team thats supposed to be all-world, because it has
all these horses, and there's not enough balls to go around, so somebody
gets wasted every time. prime example: '92 Oilers.

It speaks volumes about our players that none of them demand to be traded. Meech, Colston, Devery, and even Lance-- would be #1 on
most other teams. Getting crazy stats, making more $$$. becoming superstars. Yet they stay here, they play, they play quietly, and they play like a team.

Agreed, and you won't find a bigger Mark Ingram fan than me.

Maybe the staff just doesn't want to put too much workload on Pierre due to his injury last season.

I did think that after the fumble coach should have run Mark Ingram every play up the gut until the clock expired.

Post more Pinch.

Injuries happen... Drew could get hurt tripping onto the bus.

I don't have a problem with it and I don't mind him taking the snaps and handing the ball off actually I think it was a good thing to work on since we have a Rookie RB.

Didn't bother me at all... didn't even think about it but I sure the heck wanted to see the play that was called for the fake field goal.

I understand leaving Brees in to finish what he started and getting the monkey off his back by finally beating the Bears but it would be nice when the game is in hand like this one to let Daniels get a few snaps just in case he is ever needed.

Well...they tried to get him one snap on that fake punt attempt but got a false start instead. I wonder what they had up their sleeve. Too bad, because whatever it was it probably doesn't have a chance of ever working again.

This division could come down to more than record. We need to keep leading in the points ratio. I'm fine with drew in as long as we are trying to score. If not take him out. Without him all we have is next season.

The last two possessions were all runs. It would have been a freak play to cause an injury. Both teams were in laydown, essentially. Why risk a different kind of freak play introducing Chase, cold, into that mix.

Running Ingram will pay dividends..It gets him the gamespeed exp he needs ..and it will help keep P.T healthy...i have no problem with both getting the carries...and remember Ivory will be back soon..we are set at RB..Splash in some Sproles and look out!
