After the whole world watched Jake lead his team to the Super Bowl... it is time.

It is time for the writers at the Times Picayune to start attacking this franchise. If they don’t it only confirms my suspicion that they are on some type of PR (public relations) payroll.

I'm tired of the positive BS they print about every Saints blunder. Jake currently has 3 times as many playoff victories than the franchise that never gave him a chance.

Please write about this in the paper, I'm talking front-page stuff. Matt Mauck gets the front page for entering the draft (Matt Mauck!!!!!).
Therefore... it is time.

Please write about how our idiot head coach knowingly played a injured one-arm quarterback while the now Super Bowl Bound backup watched from the sideline.

And please don't give us the "oh we don't notice the obvious" BS. Please write about how our bonehead coach would not give this kid a chance.

Please write about how whenever Jake entered a Saints game during his tenure with the Saints, he was effective.

It is time for writers at the Times Picayune to speak (print) the obvious truth.... It is time.

Please take action.

If not, the newspaper connection to this team should be seriously investigated.

It is time for the Times Picayune....
ATTACK JIM HASLETT!!!!!!!! (and anyone they see fit)

You have the power to influence a change, please use it.

It\'s a very good point and this isn\'t the first time it\'s been made. When are we as fans, and the media in NO, going to say enough is enough and start demanding results? Three years ago everyone said, well they were just too young and there were locker room problems. Two years ago it was injuries and conditioning - there was outrage for about five minutes, then everyone started talking about how good we would be this season. This season it was a bad start, but they played OK down the stretch (despite only beating one team with a winning record in a meaningless game all season). So when are you guys going to start getting fed up? I\'ve been fed up for 16 months... or are we all just resigned to mediocrity at this point?

What is the point of attacking the Saints? Are you naive enough to think the Saints really care about what the TP thinks of them? The Saints did all the could to keep Jake here, except for offer him a shot at starting. Jake did what was right for he and his family. And, NO, he would NOT have gotten a shot to start here. Think back, AB may have played only about 2 or 3 poor games. On the flip side, he had 2 or 3 great games. Jake had 16 int\'s, fumbled 16 times (although he only lost 5), but somehow HE is the reason they won all their games. I firmly believe that Jake is no better than Trent Dilfer was when the Ravens won the Super Bowl. PLEASE don\'t get me wrong, I really like Jake, but I also think AB is better for us in the long run.

Sounds like I have an evil twin that up to now I was unaware of. Thank you steub for saying exactly what I would have said. I only hope you\'re not dragged through the swamp for saying it.

Did I mention Jake Delhomme in this thread? Nope. Did anyone else before me? Nope. This isn\'t about Jake vs. Aaron. This is about Haslett\'s inability to put a contender on the field despite being given full control and having more talent than just about any other Saints team in the organization\'s history.

If you two want to deflect attention away from that by arguing Jake and Aaron in ANOTHER thread, go right ahead. But that\'s not the subject at hand in this one. Give me some reason not to be furious with the way Haslett has squandered talent, or any reason to believe that Haslett can get his players to OVERachieve, or even play up to potential, and ever make us a REAL Super Bowl contender.

Thanks! Who Dat.

I never said Jake was an elite QB compared to Brooks. I\'m only pointing out that our bonehead coach would not give this kid a chance. I dont care what Carolinas Defense accomplishes. You have to have some sort of Talent at QB to ge t to the Superbowl (even if you want to compare Jake to Trent Dilfer). I never complained about Brooks\' performance. It isn\'t his fault that the coach didnt do the right thing and send him to the bench. Brooks playing hurt is a head coaches move. What I\'m more concerned with is that we had a Super Bowl back up (once again I\'m not saying that Jake is an AllPRo quarterback: But very capable) that never saw the field.

These types of coaching decisions are currently and will continue to be the reason we are achored to mediocrity.
