Houston has allowed just 20 points in its first two games heading into New Orleans

Wonder what the odds in Vegas are on the Texans making it 3 games?!?!

TackHammer 09-23-2011 05:00 PM

Sounds like Demeco for us! So he pretty much runs y'alls D ?

neugey 09-23-2011 05:03 PM

It's okay, just hope he can be back in a week or two. Let's see what Dunbar can do.

dizzle88 09-23-2011 05:03 PM

If vilma is out, you can say hello to the texans running on us all day, not to mention passing down the middle, we never get a break when it comes to injuries

We got some dinged up players ourselves.....just think of it as evening the odds. LOL At least your not losing him for the year like Demeco.....man that really screwed us last year! ! And his injury appears to be lingering thing,I'm not sure he'll ever be back to his old form.

Son of a Hooker!

papz 09-23-2011 05:22 PM

I think we'll be okay with Dunbar in the middle... he looks pretty good defending the run there.

skymike 09-23-2011 05:24 PM

this is the FIRST ive heard of this all week... damn.

screwed.

Hopefully Dunbar steps it up and Abrayo Franklin, Shaun Rogers do what they were brought here to do; stop the run...

And with the way Drew has played the first 2 games, I'm actually not that nervous about this game.

Let 'em try to keep up with our offense...

I see you live in Slidell. You know of an ice house called BeBops?

strato 09-23-2011 06:24 PM

Dunbar is actually better against the run...but i think Vilma plays...

The sports guy on the 6 o'clock news on WWL said that there is a 75% chance Vilma will not play.

They showed him sitting leg elevated in one of those soft cast type braces while practice was happening...

They did say that Harper is probable though, he was full during practice...

Jo Lon, Step up time!

Don't worry, guys, Scott Shanle will lead us through this terrible time.
He's going to coach from just outside the camera shot until the play is blown dead. At that time he will provide moral support to those who made the play.

Priceless.

st thomas 09-23-2011 09:32 PM

i'm going to be optimistic, sooner or later this crap was going to happen. dunbar's not bad at all. hes not jv but lets just hope jv comes back soon. the middle has to be clogged to help dunbar get released and we'all be fine. i heard tom johnson will play. hes a good tackler. i believe we play hard for this victory. houston will come in chest expanded and drew holds the pin. lol

claus808 09-24-2011 05:13 AM

You know, despite seeing this news, I am not nervous still. I was nervous for the Pack, and Bears game, but this one...I just have a feeling we will do fine, even dominate. Can't wait to bring these Texans fan's back down to earth, they sure do talk a hell of a lot more than I've heard from Dallas fans in the last two years. Honestly, If I was going for any other team, it would be the Texans. But, I don't know what it is, I've ran into some pretty nasty Texans fans so far this year, met some doucher's at the Texans, Saints preseason game a few weeks back. Lol the majority of the Texans fans I talked with sure did act like that preseason game was a real game.

Is it Sunday yet?

I've always thought Dunbar's natural position was a 4-3 MLB. He played it in college and I for one am excited to see how good he can be.

He's probably our best pure tackler at LB. He's not blazing fast but he reacts quickly. I expect he'll make a few great hits.

FireVenturi 09-24-2011 09:53 AM

I feel that our D performed pretty well last week when Vilma came out and Dunbar went in. The sky isn't falling folks, we will be fine.

jeanpierre 09-24-2011 10:51 PM

Here's a thought - if the defense performs well, what statement/conclusion do you draw about Vilma's importance to the middle of the defense?

The captain of the defense? One game won't make me give up on the Saints stud middle linebacker no matter how well Dunbar plays.

It would be comforting to know that its not the end of our season if we lost Vilma for a few games.

Pete 09-25-2011 11:15 AM

Dunbar isn't no Vilma, but I'm believing he's going to make the most out of this opportunity by handling his business! He's got to be about the hardest hitter we have...Knock em' senseless Jo-Lonn!Malcolm got his back.

Ashley 09-25-2011 11:16 AM

yea he's a no go now.

NFL.com news: Saints rule out LB Vilma with balky left knee

Halo 09-25-2011 05:13 PM

Dunbar stepped up during the game. I was impressed with him as the game went one...
