I like these Jags fans. Outside of this game, I think I'll be rooting for them to win.

saintfan 09-27-2011 10:56 PM

Always pull for 'em when they play Indy.

QBREES9 09-27-2011 11:20 PM

Love the UNI

BringTheWood 09-27-2011 11:38 PM

I love the one guy in that thread that just repeatedly insists the Jags are gonna win and that Drew is just a good QB and easily stoppable. There is such a thing as being a fan of your team, and then there is delusional.

pumpkindriver 09-28-2011 12:17 AM

I liked what this guy had to say:
"Almost 70% think the Saints by more than 7....I was looking for the more than 21 button"

AlaskaSaints 09-28-2011 12:17 AM

I want the most for us, seriously. But historically, against teams we should roll over, we fail to cover the spread.

Spread 11, we win by 9.

We are not capable of running up a score on anyone. Although everyone would love to run up a score on us.

Just as our fans, wholly, are not capable of being the beasts that we encounter at most away games.

We simply have too much CLASS. To a fault.

Alaska

The Dude 09-28-2011 12:26 AM

Lol at that dude that said Romo has more playoff experience than Brees. Romo has played in what 2 playoff games and lost both in the first round, single handedly, but he has more playoff appearances than Brees who gone to the NFCCG twice and won a Super Bowl. That is what 7 or 8 playoff games?

NOS2SB 09-28-2011 01:07 AM

The defense should have a field day with this rookie QB. Greg needs to attack!!!

Never say rookie QB...:(

Seer1 09-28-2011 07:17 AM

What would we have said twenty years ago?

Saintswrath 09-28-2011 07:59 AM

Saints, Insert> Rookie QB = Trouble..

This might not be ya poppa's Saints but we still have issue's with Newbie QB's and it concerns the hell out of me frankly, thankfully we only have one to deal with in our Division now (Cam Newton) instead of the two we had to deal with a few years ago with (Ryan and Freeman) coming in a year apart of each other * BOTH BEATING US AT LEAST ONE TIME IN THEIR FIRST YEAR AS A QB!! *

Srgt. Hulka 09-28-2011 08:40 AM

LMAO at some of these posts.

"Lol at the people picking us to score more than 3 points. 45-3 Saints"

"407-10"

"Let's see...We get the ball first on our 20, followed by a 10 yard holding, followed by an offsides, followed by a Safety.
Defense holds Saints to 3 points on the first drive.
Offense puts together some decent plays and Scobee kicks a field goal.
JDR decides to start killing the clock only being down by 2.
Final score...52-3 Saints"

"I just hope the lights go out on the scoreboard."

"Saints - eleventy bajillion + 2
Jags - who cares we got no shot right gloom and doomers?"

"124-3 Saints."

"'Let's see...We get the ball first . . .'

You lost me already. Jags lose the toss, the SAINTS get the ball first."

"Bring a big bottle of Jack to the game cause your gonna need it"

Saintswrath 09-28-2011 08:48 AM

Wow reading through this thread is really sad lmao.. sounds like the ol'e Saints Board that use to be on the Saints Official Team site before any of these other forums existed..
Man i remember being miserable like these fans and hoping we pull out at least an 8-8 Season and sneak in with a possible wildcard..
Now im expecting Saints to win no less than 11 games a Season.

lumm0x 09-28-2011 09:19 AM

As said, we'll play to the level of our competition and still win. Jags are a drastically rebuilding team. We have a habit of making easy games difficult. I don't think anyone rational actually would believe the Jags are the better team.

Mardigras9 09-28-2011 11:01 AM

If we stop the run, we role. Otherwise, we just score more than they do. Either way we win.

Crusader 09-28-2011 11:12 AM

Well all those fans can really hope for it is they get better once they play in Los Angeles.

I hear you man. I'm a realist normally, but when it comes to the Saints I'm a optimist. We should have nothing to worry about this weekend.

Srgt. Hulka 09-28-2011 02:32 PM

I won't get to see the game anyway. KMSS (see my avatar) is going to show the Cowturds....B*st*rds.

I second that I predict the Bears game all over again just all out blitz

AlaskaSaints 09-28-2011 03:05 PM

Hulka, don't you guys have a sportsbar that pulls in all the games?

We've got more than a couple here in town.

Yeah Alaska, there are a bunch of them. I just have to find a decent one. Plus, that means leaving the wife home with the kids while I go watch the game. That would not make her happy. Since KMSS has decided to show the Turds instead of the Saints, all the bars are filled to beyond capacity. There was a three hour wait to get into Buffalo Wild Wings for the Chicago game. We are talking about getting the Direct TV deal, but I hear that there is a long wait on that too.

Ok - maybe the ones on this site. Have you ever been to a game there? Those fans can be pretty scary (not as bad as TB Sucs fans though)

Wonder why this game is on Fox instead of CBS like last week's game?

I am working in North Texas so I know I will be watching on the computer Sunday!!

ScottK 09-28-2011 10:04 PM

I was living in Florida when the Jags were born. I went to a couple games just because i hadn't seen the Saints in a few years and was really jonesing for some live football. Also, they had drafted Jimmy Smith who was from Jackson State University which is where i am from and currently live. Their fans obviously were great the first year just because of what it was. The next few years it got even better. I remember many discussions with friends about how they were going to the playoffs year after year so soon after their inception. And how it took my Saints twenty years. Told em to enjoy it while they could. My how the tide's have changed.

You can get the NFL sunday ticket on your computer and that way you don't have to install a dish and that way it would be nearly instantaneous.

Fox is contracted to carry all the NFC games on sunday afternoon and CBS is contracted to carry all the AFC games on Sunday afternoon. ESPN and NBC get the night games. The reason the Saints game was on CBS last weekend is because they were hosting an AFC team. If the Saints had been in Houston last weekend, the game would have been on fox.

Now, the local affiliates get to decide which games they broadcast. KMSS, here in Shreveport, has made an economic decision to show the Cowboys instead of the Saints. And it Sucks.

Yep, since you're in north Texas, nothing but Cowboys for you.

Srgt. Hulka 09-29-2011 04:15 PM

More of what the Jags' fans are saying:

"We're severely out-matched at several positions on the field against the Saints, and possibly even more out-matched in the head coach area.

Sean Payton >>>>>>>Jack Del Rio."

"I expect it to be so bad that in the 3rd quarter 1/2 thefans will leave the stadium in protest/disgust. Which means it will be easierfor me to use the restrooms with no lines in the 4th quarter."

Canīt wait to see Useless Jackīs game planning!

"JUst curious: Why do most people expect the Saints to win, but nobody think they will win by 4-7 points?"

"cause there isnt a 21+ option. Hopefully we keep it respectable but i dont think so. Unless MJD puts up madden-esque numbers 175+ 2tds or more on the ground and both lines play stellar we get mauled at least 35-10. O and by the way Gabbert will be playing a very confusing and flexible defense that loves to cause turnovers in his second career start, so yeah 4-7 points is what we would hope for but isn't what we'll get"

SmashMouth 09-29-2011 04:31 PM

Another good quote ...

"I'm thinking Saints 31-10.

With a Gabbert garbage time TD to Zach Miller or something.

The so far, over achieving defense will probably be exposed against Brees, who I feel is a top 3 QB
.
The good news is I have Saints TE Jimmy Graham starting for my fantasy team. We all know what TE"s do againt the Jags."

FireVenturi 09-29-2011 05:05 PM

This game may be tougher than we think. Saints 30 Jags 23

One of those weird games.....
