I also remember people ripping his arm strength and I thought it was completely overblown. I think I remember the exact play I used to prove my point. I believe it was a 50 yard laser he threw against the Jets for a touchdown.

I didn't want Culpepper when he was healthy!!

He couldn't do much, even with Cris Carter and Randy Moss, so what was he going to do with our receivers?

Still be an upgrade to Aaron Brooks.

I wonder if Payton would have been able to save Culpepper's career. I always (up to that point) thought he was a pretty good QB. His first few games with the Dolphins he looked pretty good, then he just fell apart.

Ok I may not have been sold on Drew - BUT I was sure as heck AGAINST Culpepper.

If he had been anywhere near where he had been before the knee injury I would have thought differently. BUT he wasn't & that was obvious!

Ferguson would have been a safe pick, but I would rather have tried to trade down and get Ngata and Mangold. I'll also admit that I got caught up in the Bush hype.

Never wanted Culpepper, sorry. Felt Drew was too young for the injury to hault his career, and he had way too much success at San Diego to pass over.
