I've been getting into this perverse mindset where I actually kinda LIKE third and long now. That Devery touchdown was a thing of beauty. And knowing that Drew has Graham out there, it just takes the edge off of third downs quite nicely.

3rd down conversion % is one of the most important stats in the game. Brees just wins at life.

Between Jimmy Graham and Lance Moore (even without Colston, whom I don't believe will play Sunday--a diversion for the Jags) third down conversion rate should be above 50 percent. It was 8 of 13 against the Texans. Lets just hope our third and short conversion rate, where we run the ball, improves.

BUT... WOuldn't you really like 1st down and a 20 yard run by Ingram

1st down & a 18 yard pass to Graham?
