Saints eager to see passing game at full strength

METAIRIE — Marques Colston's two-game absence didn't stop the Saints from putting up some of the league's best passing numbers or winning both of the games that one of their top receivers missed.

The Saints would like to think that Colston's expected return will make an already elite passing game even better in Jacksonville this Sunday, when New Orleans will have all of its top receivers healthy for the first time this season.

"Obviously I'm very excited to get them all out there," Brees said after practice Thursday. "There are still only so many balls to go around, but I think the versatility of having all of them, being able to spread them around, put them in different places, it'll be hard to key on one guy."

Still think Colston should rest this week.

Agree with you on that one lumm0x... plus, with the numbers of balls he's dropped when healthy, I worry a lot about how many he'll drop if he's not at 100% upper body strength.

He does have his share... but the position Drew puts him in and the adjustments to the balls thrown behind him, I don't hold it against him. I agree I would like him to sit another week... it's not a good thing to go across the middle being tentative and thinking about his collarbone.

I doubt he see more than a handful of snaps. I think we run the ball at least 30 times this game... well, hopefully. I'd like to see our run game break out in this one.

I think Colston is a decoy this week--something else for the Jags' D to worry about.

The coaches would be crazy to give Colston a great role in the offense this soon. I think he probably won't play at all, but we will see.

is it me or is anyone else concerned that two important components of the o-line are missing this week, at least? What are they thinking projecting getting better in the passing game without a consistent and healthy o-line?

I've been thinking (hoping) the same thing.

Is he Michael Jackson??

And it cant be working that well - he keeps getting hurt.

MAYBE - if he gave is body the chance to heal naturally he would not be hurt as often.

Nw having a titanium plate - that is pretty cool!!
