Looking forward. To Carolina.

You notice that was not worded; Looking forward to Carolina.

I think they are going to be extremely challenging for us. They played their hearts out today against Chicago.

Our defense will have to step it up next weekend.

Jus' sayin'...

Totally agree. They have had some close losses, and they are about due for a win. We are in their house and all records go out the window in divisional play. They always play us tough and I don't expect this to be easy. Jordan can torch our defense in the air, and if we try and blitz he can beat us with his legs. Im just banking on being able to score more on their defense than they can on ours. Im thinking shootout.

That is fact!! I hate that Cam is in our division as I followed him alot with Auburn but as you know he is dangerous in the passing game. Our Secondary needs to be on there toes. Shootout it's gonna be.

papz 10-02-2011 07:14 PM

It should be a close game. Excited to see an full game of Cam Newton.

If Greer plays the way he did this game against Steve Smith, we should come out on top. We also need to capitalize on Newton's mistakes... there will be plenty.

homerj07 10-02-2011 07:20 PM

GUys our "D" did pretty darn well holding MJD to just 84 yrds.

If we get sme better LB play (Shanle who) we canbe awesome.

Drew threw 2 Ints & the "D" still held on.

Saintswrath 10-02-2011 07:46 PM

Im going go back and watch Cam's last game against the bears, that game came in perfect timing for Sean to Evaluate what we are going to be up against, Panthers gave EVERYTHING they had to try and win that game.
Saints have issue's with Rookie QB's and well, Cam is the Rookie QB in our nightmares.
I hope we can have a happy ending but Cam is way overdue for a win and he will be playing in front of a energized crowd at home.

jeanpierre 10-02-2011 07:52 PM

ANY GIVEN SUNDAY...

Do you hear the footsteps?

You'd better bring your A game every week...

Even the rookie Gabbert showed he can play...

AlaskaSaints 10-02-2011 07:56 PM

Then there's Shockey. He won't have a record-book game or anything, but we don't play well against former players.

Someone saw him near the copy machine on the day he left. And yeah, our offense changes weekly but he's "in Sean's and Drew's head".

Better believe Carolina will come to play. We better be as hungry for the win as I'm certain they will be.

QBREES9 10-02-2011 10:44 PM

Is it sunday yet ?

pumpkindriver 10-02-2011 10:52 PM

It'll be challenging, but I think in the end we'll pull it out. I'm very surprised at Cam's early sucess, time for us to rain on his parade.

jeanpierre 10-02-2011 11:45 PM

Opening division play on the road will be more of a challenge than realized; Carolina does have some injuries on that underrated defense...

strato 10-02-2011 11:47 PM

Going to be a tough game...i expect us to win..but i know anything can happen..just play smart and do what we do.

claus808 10-02-2011 11:52 PM

Sigh, we will do fine. to many negative posts I've seen today about us on this forum.

Division game! You can throw win/loss records, injuries, everything else out the window.

Division games are always the hardest for both teams...

alleycat_126 10-03-2011 05:12 AM

three words, run, run, run.... The better the saints run in this game the better the outcome will be. Jay Culter 105 yrs....... need I say more. Matt Forte gashed this team. It's time for us to have a historical day... on the ground.

Crusader 10-03-2011 05:21 AM

I hope this will be the first game of the season with multiple INTs. Who's our best trashtalker? Line him up against Smith and get into his head early.

hagan714 10-03-2011 06:52 AM

cam rushing worries me. those stupid highlight reel hits will not work against him. the saints need textbook tackling

Seer1 10-03-2011 07:03 AM

Who're we getting back next week? A shorter injury list would, like say with no linebackers on it, make that score differential GW likes so much a bit wider.

Totally agree. Everybody new the bears were going to run in that game and Carolina couldn't stop it. We should run at least 40 times in this game.

I feel it Ingram is ready to bust one and take it to the house!!!!! and this could be the week end for it

skymike 10-03-2011 08:40 AM

Kick their ass and send the sCam back to Auburn. He probably took a pay cut to go to the NFL anyway.

halloween 65 10-03-2011 08:54 AM

Maybe Rodger's or Johson can land on "fignewton"and take the wind out of that smiley face hot air ballon.

pherein 10-03-2011 11:39 AM

hmm..Shockey might not play.

"Jeremy Shockey aggravated his broken finger and suffered a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Bears.
The original finger injury occurred during Week 1, but Shockey hasn't missed any time. He figures to keep playing through that as the Panthers' No. 2 tight end, but will need to get medically cleared from his concussion. After the game, Shockey was more upset about a phantom offensive pass interference call that cost him a 22-yard touchdown."

I had a really nice write-up on stopping Cam Newton on my laptop, but someone stole it.

papz 10-03-2011 11:52 AM

FireVenturi 10-03-2011 12:33 PM

remember, we struggled against this team last year at home and that was with them not having Cam at qb

I'm looking for a 3 point game that could go either way.

As Xan once so eloquently phrased it, it's gonna be a butt-clincher.

I think that he's injured. No, really!

There is no excuse in the world not to run the ball successfully against this team. None.

Hear that Payton? :bng:

Memnoch_TP 10-04-2011 02:12 AM

I'm looking forward to Carolina. Let 'em bring everything they have. If we are good enough, we win anyway. I think we are good enough.

Choupique 10-04-2011 04:58 AM

Chris Ivory is 100% healthy.

Say it slowly, Carolina... STABLE full of running backs.

Good luck with that.
