Joe - it\'s a simple concept amigo. If the board is to be run that way, fine. You\'ll get no argument from me. HOWEVER, either apply the rules consistently and equally, or don\'t apply them at all. I make a post in jest about the number of posts I\'ve made. I\'m joking around with another member and the thread gets locked. Why? Because it isn\'t about football. OK, if you\'re going to apply the rules that stringently, then apply them that stringently, but you can\'t lock one post b/c it\'s not about football, but allow another thread that also isn\'t about football to continue. That\'s inheriently unequal and shows that the moderators of this board are being SUBJECTIVE rather than objective in their application of the rules.

Honestly, I couldn\'t care less about that thread, but I do care about the principle. If you\'re going to lock a thread for breaking the rule, lock it when the violation ocurrs, not a week later after 15 members have broken the rules. I\'m not the first one to complain about the way in which the rules are applied on this site. I am not trying to attack you or any other moderator. I am simply voicing a concern that others have voiced as well. By the way, this thread is not about football and belongs in the \"off-topic\" area. I\'m sure that it will be moved or locked, seeing as how we are now following the letter of the law to the T. ;)

I like cheerleaders.

I\'ve been to plenty of games where they were a lot nicer to see than anything happening on the field.

Thanks for the link.

Cheerleaders have everything to do with football. If it weren\'t for cheerleaders there\'d be no reason for the game.Jerry Clower said it best . When he was playing football he got hit and knocked out. When he came to, his head was in the lap of one of the cheerleaders. He closed his eyes and dozed back off.

Cheer up things could be worse!

I\'m thinking this is something I probably shouldn\'t open here at work, right?

Posts aimed at another member will not be allowed. For any reason. Don\'t make us lock out or edit every post. Some of these articles and posts are meant to try to lighten up some of the members before alternate steps must be taken.
