Outside of the Saints, who's your next favorite NFL team?

Just curious who everyone else likes.

Personally, I like watching the Ravens (mainly b/c of their defense) and now I'm enjoying watching the Lions experience some success.

Back in the 70's my other favorite team was the Dolphins.

I'll never like SF, ATL, or DAL. And right now, I can't stand the Jets - mainly because of Rex Ryan's fat mouth.

pumpkindriver 10-05-2011 10:26 AM

oh I dunno,it changes, I kinda like the Colts and Giants b/c of the Mannings. And right now also liking the Texans some. But for me its more of who I don't like, which is Dallas, Oakland, Atl, Pittsburg.

Ashley 10-05-2011 11:27 AM

Really, no one. I'll pull for the ravens when it's a Sunday night or Monday game. But I don't care for any teams really.

I moved to Michigan for school and I got to see the Lions 0-16 year as well as Michigan's implosion, the radio shows, the dejection, etc. It's been a fun story to see the Lions come back from all that. Happy for the fans but the Saints are my only team.

I'm the same way but not so much the Colts. Eli went to Ole Miss so that gives the Giants the big nod over the Colts for me since I have been an Ole Miss fan all my life.

FireVenturi 10-05-2011 11:56 AM

Ravens because of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.

Speedy Ron 10-05-2011 12:12 PM

i live the ravens because of ray and ed.
i live miami cause of their sweet unis
i used to like green bay until i realized how much of a queer aaron rodgers is.

favorite unis are:
saints
miami
arizona
baltimore

saintfan 10-05-2011 12:19 PM

When I was a kid I was a Saints and Cowboys fan. I don't hate Dallas like most of you. I lived there for 10 years and enjoyed my time there. But when Jones bought the team and fired Landry I lost interest in the Cowboys for the most part.

I've always had a soft spot for the Lions because they suck like we used to suck...and the Texans too. I guess I wish those two teams well.

Mostly I watch the NFL to see the Saints win, to pull for the underdogs in the other games, and to watch Atlanta fans suffer.

AlaskaSaints 10-05-2011 12:28 PM

Huh?

Confused...

Wait... Huh!?

We can like more than one team?

WhoDat!656 10-05-2011 12:30 PM

I like Pittsburg because Bradshaw is from my hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana; my Mom says when I was very young we rode to church with Terry's family a few times.

I also liked the Dolphins in the 70s.

The only NFC team I have any interest in is the Lions; misery loves company!!

papz 10-05-2011 12:42 PM

I enjoy watching the Packers and Patriots play.

Crusader 10-05-2011 01:12 PM

I like watching the Packers, Patriots and Colts play just because its usually such good football. I used to like to watch the Steelers when they had Bettis.

But I have the most sympaty for the Lions, Browns and Raiders.

But really outside of the Saints its more that I like certain players and watch those teams because of those players. Brian Urlacher and the Bears are a good example.

Rugby Saint II 10-05-2011 01:12 PM

I grew up in Texas and HATE the Cowboys since Jones bought them! Mostly I tend to like the underdog teams. I liked the Titans under Fisher but he's gone now.
I watch the teams we face that year most of the time. Other than how our division is doing I really don't care.

In 1967, when I was 6, I lost my dad. Unfortunately I don't remember a lot about him, but one thing I do remember is that he was a Green Bay Packers fan. So Green Bay has always had a place in my heart, and I would call them my favorite NFC team behind the Saints. After we were knocked out of the playoffs last year, I was happy Green Bay went on to win the Superbowl. Now, a match-up between Saints and Green Bay, Saints all the way. Now on the AFC side, I’ve been a Denver fan for a long time. I was glad when Elway finally won a Superbowl, and I think he went out in style, retiring on top, after his second straight Superbowl.

Fleured 10-05-2011 01:32 PM

The Raiders were always my favorite AFC team. Ken Stabler was da man!

Yeah, you know there are certain players I'm going to pull for regardless of which team they're on...Atlanta being the exception. I was happy for Elway too, but I don't really have a lean for Denver in either direction.

I was on the GB bandwagon because of McCarthy more than anything. This year, after they beat the feathers off the failclowns I won't be paying much attention to them besides hoping for someone else to beat them down so we can get home field.

:bng:

breesfan27 10-05-2011 01:48 PM

As the girlfriend of a Broncos fan, I'm obligated to root for Denver, despite how badly they're playing. I also like watching the Lions this year. I hope they win the NFC North this year, and if we don't make it to the Super Bowl, I hope they do.

darstep 10-05-2011 02:08 PM

I just love football, GOOD football.
Good hitting, good blocking, tackling and running, good throwing and catching.
I like good fundamentals, and a high level of expertise from players at a level this high.
Houston Texans at #2.
I'm just a natural underdog being a Saints fan for 45 years.
I like how they are transforming themselves into a quality team/organization...kind of reminds me of us.
It doesn't hurt that they are in the AFC and I can pull for them except for maybe once or twice a year.

GAwhodat 10-05-2011 02:35 PM

I grew up in Picayune, MS which was close to Brett Favre's hometown and I attended USM when he was playing there. I was a Packers fan until he left (I absolutely refuse to root for Rodgers). Cam Newton is growing on me and it's a shame we are in the same division LOL. Saints are my #1 team by a long shot.

winmill1 10-05-2011 02:37 PM

NOONE

jeanpierre 10-05-2011 05:32 PM

Raiders are Football Personified:

John Madden, Howie Long, Jack Tatum, Art Shell, John Matuszak, Fred Biletnikoff, Lyle Alzado, George Blanda, Marcus Allen, Ted Hendricks, Cliff Branch, Lester Hayes, Mike Haynes, Ray Guy (Only Punter Who Should be in HOF), Matt Millen (He Was a Great Linebacker), Phil Villapiano, Don Mosebar, Gene Upshaw, Snake Stabler, Dave Casper, Greg Townsend, Todd Christensen, Tim Brown, Nnamdi Asomugha...

...miss the old Patriots - don't like Bill Belichick or Tom Brady...

...hate the Cowboys since Jerry Jones bought 'em...

...was a big fan of Walter Payton and Dan Marino - so I'd pull for them...

...I'd pull for the Cardinals or Lions if the Saints weren't in it...

jcp026 10-05-2011 06:02 PM

I've been pulling for the Lions for a few years now. I also enjoy watching the Packers, Pats, Eagles, and Texans.

|Mitch| 10-05-2011 06:11 PM

I enjoy watching football, no matter the teams playing. With that said, I "root" for no one but the Black & Gold.

homerj07 10-05-2011 07:09 PM

I am a little amazed no one mentioned my second favorite team.

It started with players that I liked & made a lot easier when thery left Texas (sorry Texas people - I can NEVER support ANY Texas team)

I am a huge Titans fan.

http://www.signvibe.com/image/cache/...al-400x400.jpg

The Saints & the Titans are the only NFL teams I have ever liked. Once I give my loyalty - you've got it. Through thick & thin good & bad (kindof like a marriage)

I loved Steve McNair & Eddie George. Thought they were both class acts. Hated to see Steve go to Baltimore & then to die the way he did, well...

I've seen Eddie on tv recently & the man is HUGE (not fat - at all) I mean ripped. I am postive he is more muscular then he was as a RB. (Did I mention he is HUGE?)

c4jun 10-05-2011 07:22 PM

I can't stand any other team in the league but the Saints but if I had to pick I would go with Chargers. I have always found them interesting.

foreverfan 10-05-2011 07:46 PM

Belair57 10-05-2011 07:55 PM

Ive always pulled for the lil guy, the bullied guy, the team that gets no love and gets beat up all the time. So I pull for the worst team in the leauge every year, who ever starts off 0-3...So this year Im kinda a dolphins fan... WHEN THE SAINTS ARENT PLAYING OF COURSE

QBREES9 10-05-2011 08:00 PM

The Patriots because the wife is a Pats fan. Aaron Hernandez Bristol Ct boy. I just like watching them play really thats all.

I love my Saints and any other team is a distant second.

But I would have to say the Chiefs ... they have mostly good and loyal fans, have had lots of classy players that I've liked (Roaf, Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Tony Gonzalez, Priest Holmes). Beautiful stadium and great tailgating.

alleycat_126 10-05-2011 09:46 PM

There's a simple answer, NONE!!! I guess if I was gonna be the fan of another team besides the saints it would be the can't get right HOUSTON TEXANS because I have to listen to them moan and groan, and whimper and whine about the nine year drought of not being in the playoffs. I went my entire childhood and young adulthood before I saw my team reach the post season. TeXANS THOUGH

Cory9289 10-05-2011 11:46 PM

Lions, Ravens, Raiders

Pete 10-05-2011 11:56 PM

N/A

Although, I don't mind watching any other NFC team get whipped;Especially you know who!

I grew up about a hundred miles away from Cleveland. The rest of my family is split between the Browns and the Bengals. They can't for the life of them figure out how I became a huge Saints fan with a liking for the Ravens as well. Can you imagine the Saint's offense teamed up with the Raven's defense? Had a chance to go to a Brown"s game this year. Never again. Are the security people as creepy and fascist in the Mercedes Benz Dream (at least mine) Dome?
