I just looked him up to see what he was up to and I found this on Wikipedia

Detroit Lions
David was signed by the Detroit Lions on November 3, 2009. He was waived on November 9, 2009.

Totally agree. And all his teamates loved him. I met him once in Covington and he was super nice. I always liked him and will always wish him the best. He had heart and always gave 110%.
