high risk/high reward doesnt work if we get no pressure...where are all the exotic blitzes? which one of the 36 packages GW told the fox guys about were we using on that option play? we give up too many big plays due to poor tackling

Thoughts?

We could start by just straight up cutting Shanle, before the plane even leaves carolina..then we figure out what else is wrong from there.

Right on. Very frustrating. It was ours to win at the beginning. It was Carolina's to win at the end. And that is a shame.

in all seriousness though, that Cam kid is going to be GREAT. He really looks NOTHING like a rookie.

As bad as we all criticize G.W. and the defense and regardless of the statistics they give up.

They've been getting the job done most of the time.

The Panthers wouldn't even have been in the game if the referees would learn how to consistently call a roughing the passer call...

I thought we would have more sacks and big plays on defense

Our so called professional football players on D can't tackle for jack.

For the life of me I can't figure out why out boys, yes boys, would try and tackle high on Williams not once but a few times everyone going high on a freakin RB. I mean if it was Bush ok, but Williams come on man. Tackle low and wrap the hell up.

This is all about coaching and we aren't doing it... this crap keeps up Greg can go bye bye.

They've been taught to always look for the strip, but most of the time ya gotta secure the tackle!

G.W. could slightly alter his philosophy and we could be better...

Im disappointed with the inability to wrap up and tackle, but in GW defense it is not wise to blitz a mobile QB like Newton. Especially when he can also make tough throws unlike a Vick. Cam has put up nearly 400 yds passing on every team he has faced thus far, including the Packers defense. Not on us though. He had a little over 250 if I am not mistaken. Not saying our D doesnt need work, but they arent that bad.
