In response to yesterday's game where Shockey made lewd and crude gestures to the Saints bench, and then refused to shake hands with his former teammates after the Saints beat the Carolina Panthers, fans are sending all colors of #88 Shockey jerseys in to this address: Carolina Panthers, 800 South Mint Street,

I may join in. I am terribly dissapointed. I'm glad my 10 year old little girl, who was very dissapointed that Shokey got released, didn't see that.

I know...right? I'm glad I didn't see it, either. I DID see him making ugly faces at us and smirking and jeering loudly when they scored. ??? Now if he were a classy guy, when they scored, he'd just smile or cheer. I think the mere fact that Shockey became a Saints gave him some credibility and likeability. But now he is not a Saint....

I feel bad for him as a person, not as a panther. He made a mistake..well several over the years, but can you imagine the heartbreak he will feel when those jerseys start pouring in..poor classless dude.

Yep....but maybe it will make him stop and think. Accountability is a big deal, and inevitably, your good name is all you have, and is worth protecting. I sure don't hate him....all I saw was support for him on his FB page from Saints fans when he got cut..lots of love! His actions yesterday seemed to be "in your face" to all those people who DID love and support him. Maybe he will finally learn a hard lesson. :(

never thought of it like that joanie....still feel bad for the guy though. i do and say stupid **** all the time, and I feel horrible afterwards, so I can understand how he feels!! LOL

We ALL do....so we will see how he acts when he comes back to the dome for the game in N.O., and see if he's learned anything from his FIRST faux pas!

I'll certainly cut him some slack, if he wants some.

Besides, this is entertainment. And Shock has always
been entertaining.

Lets just beat em, and offer to shake their hand afterward.

Only problem with this is, that all Saints fans know about this. He will be boo'ed when he enters the dome. Then any regret he has about his action yesterday will be gone out the window.

That is very true. You KNOW he will be booed at the dome. It's gonna happen, so write it down and wait for it! What he did yesterday was somewhat akin to "spitting in the wind." It's gonna come back and get ya!!!! :D
