Here is why it is not so bad!!
 

Been some doom & gloom & here is what I have to say (also posted on another thread)

Two things have ruined any LONG time Saints fan...

Reason #1. We sucked - FOR A LONG TIME. :doh:

We constantly saw our team get ahead in a game & have a chance to win... ONLY to have the rug ripped out from under us time, after time, after time, after time (ok sorry - you get the point!!)

AND THIS WAS WITH THE Dome Patrol - They were awesome... BUT the "D" from that period could not hold a lead.

Look at yesterdays game from this perspective...

Its 1989 the date is October 8th. We are playing the cream of our division... the SF 49er's.

AND I MEAN THE FORTY F--EN NINERS - Joe Montanna at QB, Roger Craig, Jerry - ****ing - Rice.

It was a hard fought game.

The Saints jump out to 17 to 3 lead!! (in the 3rd quarter)

Guess what happens?

After pecking away it is 17-17 late in the fourth. Bobby Hebert takes the team down & we get a Morten Andersen FG! 20-17 Saints lead...

Then Joe Montanna (curse the ground he walks upon - DAMN HE WAS GOOD!! - sorry I got sidetracked)....

Joe Montanna takes the Niners down the field and throws a 32 yard TD pass to Jason Taylor....
And the Niners win!! 24-20 :annoyed:

HEY....It is 2011...

WE ARE THE NINERS - all the other teams are what WE WERE. Look at us now!!

I am going to enjoy this ride while I can!! We are a good team - we are the team the other teams FEAR!!



Reason # 2 - The 13-3 2009 season SPOILED US.

We aren't just satisfied with a win - it has to be spectacular.

Yesterday - If that had been any other 2 teams that you had no ties to & you watched that game - YOU WOULD HAVE LOVED IT!!

It was a great game - back & forth big plays & big players.... AND WE WON!!!

I would have been more pissed if we had played the game that close against a non divisional 1-3 team. At least I can tell myself that division games are always tough no matter the record.

We better hand Tampa an ole fashioned ass woopin this weekend.

All very true, but it doesn't make me feel much better when I see an opposing team execute with success the mother ****ing OPTION play on our defense. History be damned. Stats be damned. Remember me hits be damned. High scoring offense be damned.

That's just plain bad, and should be 100% unacceptable by every Saints fan from here to the South Pole. Bad...BAD...BAD! No excuse. I refuse to sugar coat it. I love our team. I believe our D will get better. I believe allowing a team to run the mother ****ing OPTION successfully in the NFL should be grounds for a fine of some sort. C'MON...

Again division games are tough...that was Carolinas superbowl..we took their best shot.. trick play and all and won...im moving on...Tampon Bay next victim. When we get the Panzies in the dome that option **** will be stuffed.

Were are the Mother****in Saints..everyone wants to be us ..beat us and will do anything to knock us down...

But we have Drew Brees and he wont be denied!..Look out Tampon Bay..were coming!

I know we have some things to fix but honestly the only bad thing i see besides Roman Harpers horrible coverage is TACKLING...Besides Vilma's tackling...It Seems Like Everyone On D is trying to force the ball out or strip and trying to get a turnover...Once We Get Past That Flaw We Will Be Just Fine
